i havnt played this game but im gonna get it for the pc, from apearances chris is spot on with is review. X blades is just one of those easy arcade like games one can relax to.

Why is it that simple gameplay is ok and even welcomed in retro games but when a new game comes out with simler concepts it gets slated. Just like in retro games there are hard games like castlevania and easy games that are still good fun to play. And non of those games had 3hrs worth of cut sences or storyline.

1) "repetetive gameplay" True, but all games can get repetetive, right? I find Halo extremely tedious.

2) "boring enemies" This game has more enemies than any game I've played before. You should see the fucking bestiary! certainly more than any FPS.

3) "no story" wasn't a problem with COD or KZ2.

1. Yes, and it is the good games that make a game feel non-repetitive.

2. Regardless of whether there's technically a large number of enemies, when an enemy reacts and responds the same way, there's essentially no difference.

3. My COD experiences are slim but it definitely was with KZ2.

I believe you fail to recognize that you can criticism a game while still enjoying it. Even when a game is good, I will point out the flaws so that the watcher can assess how they will enjoy the game in regards to what is important to them. I think you need to work on your perception because I did still enjoy the game which I did make quite clear.

I didn't notice this game until last night on XBox live. Downloaded the 2 trailers and it seemed good. I was doubting and searched for reviews. I think people are spoiled and too inconciderate these days.

So the company is Russian and on a lower budget, I dare people to go XNA and make a better game. Think first, they are new/small in the industry, can't expect the newest/best of them.

I think this is actually bold of them. ^^

While I admit to being a Devil May Cry fanboy, this looks pretty good. I plan on getting it, but I am definately not expecting another DMC4.

Still, looks interesting enough, and I doubt I'll get tired of that arse.

Sometimes there are certain enemies that will respawn until the end of time until you destroy whichever enemy makes the bar at the bottom deplete.

So because it was colorful, had a chick, and is fast, it's good? This game is nothing like Final Fight. Again, another review that just misses the mark. This game looks like a dozen other games but less polished. There are plenty of other games that move at a fast pace like this game, but much better. This is really a response that I could do 10 minutes on but here we go: The game is good because I enjoyed the gameplay. The gameplay made effective use of fast action and was fun. Using the various techniques was fun. In addition to all of this, I liked the unique color scheme. The lack in graphical polish gives the game a slight retro feel. It was also nice that the game wasn't bogged down with needless cinematic scenes or

endless hallways of nothing solely existing because that's what would logically be in a castle at that point. Instead, you move from one segment of entertaining gameplay to the next. This all added to the experience, though it is not what solely comprised it.

Really though, when I decide my score, it's almost entirely based upon the amount of fun that I had and I cannot deny the fact that I had fun playing this game.

Nearly all the top beat-em-ups have roid filled characters which was essentially what I was comparing this game to (although SF4 which I was also playing wasn't helping out much). But yeah: God of War, Ninja Gaiden, Devil May Cry (for the most part), X-Men Legends, and so on.

Also, I do not consider all styles of Japanese art to look the same.

Actually theres quite a few roid filled main characters in games. Though that isnt a defence, the scantilly clad fem characters are just as numerous. But to be honest I'd rather stare at them in game than some muscle bound freak.... again in a loin cloth >_> Ala God of War series.

But then again I am the same guy who ALWAYS chooses to make a female character no matter what game I play. Deep seated psychological denial going on in my mind?
