  • What happens to the vitamins and minerals when you flash heat it?

  • I live in South Africa, and I have a lot to do with the people. Your method might be easy enough, but the chances that they will use it? Rather slim. Wait until you see the squatter camps where they live. The hours that they have to work.

I strongly doubt this will be a method they actually use.

  • great!!!

  • Interesting. I wonder if blood survives flash heating? If so that could be a cure. You drain blood at the same time get infused back but in between you flash it? I guess it might not survive? Just an idea. I'm not a doctor or a scientist. Just a brain stormer. I know there will eventually be a cure because all things are possible if people put the minds together. :)

  • Hyperthermia is used as a treatment for AIDS and other things in some countries. Health journalist Gary Null covered a sero-conversion after hyperthermia treatment in Italy.

  • @REALGREYBLUE

They can't clean HIV out of someones blood because HIV infects the cells as well:(

  • bow to scientist!

  • feasibility! that is actually the main issue.

  • Expressing milk by hand, I don't know a single mom who could do it. And how do the mother's get the fuel and time to do 5 extra boilings a day(since babies should be fed fairly frequently & poor people lack refrigeration?)

& do the negative effects of heating outweigh the positive effects of destroying the HIV? For example, hi cholesterol eggs, *lower* chol levels in vivo. You'd need a long term study of the outcomes with the infants to *scientifically* recommend this procedure.

  • @givebirthathome i acutally used to hand express ALL THE TIME. everytime i did, i would get atleast 8 oz in ten min, if you have a breastpump, you can use a flange as a funnel in a bottle. there is no dought that this procedure could kill the good proteins in the milk, but it would HAVE to be better than formula. and if you are interested in what is best for your baby, you will find time to do this, my baby stopped latching on, i had to pump for 6 months, 12 times a day to feed my baby.
