Yes you can tether via WiFi. In fact that was the reason why I rooted my phone. Too bad the app has been taken off the market. I think you can still find it somewhere. It's called aNetshare, I JUST LOVE IT!!!!

Well, in most of the case, it will be inoffensive, but when you're root, the computer won't say: "No! You shouldn't do that!". It will just obey!

For exemple, I recently (2 weeks ago) tried to delete (on my computer, a linux box) a folder being root.

But what I didn't knew is that that very folder contained a link to my hard drive's root.

So I got up erasing most of my hard dirve!

I don't know if there's a way to restore it (probably!) but it may for sure void your warranty!

1.) when u first turn on the phone it turns on regular, but then the picture of a computer looking chip pops up with a arrow coming out of it.

2.) Hold the home and power, give it a couple of second, the phone will restart, but this time it will be in boot loader mode.

3.) have a firmware installed on the SD card already.

4.) wipe the phone

5.) then install the firmware from off the Sd card.

6.) then boom your phone is no longer bricked.
