Thanks for posting this! Interesting--they had a completely 'modern' sound but looked a bit like your typical 70s prog-rock band. I'm sure John would like to forget that haircut! My old classmate, a guy named Craig, introduced me to Ultravox circa 1978. He was a DJ at Cleveland State University.
Currie's synth solo sounds terribly tinny here... like a Casio keyboard my 5 yr. old daughter would tinker with. Good song from that gret album that was 'Systems of Romance'.

Arh, the memories of my teen youth... time passes, but the memories never fade.
Great to see this of Ultravox! live in '78 as I missed them at Erics.
John is still great now and I'm proud to say "I shook the hand of John Foxx".
