man, trombones need to work on horn angles, that is not Proper marching technique. I would know, I just finished my last high school marching season as Part of the Rosemead high school band. Seriously though Don Bosco Band sounded in the parade this year.
It's good to see The Techmen marching again! However, it hasn't been over 10 years since they've been in a parade. My son graduated from DBTI in 2002 and was in the band, and they were marching through at least 2003. After that, I don't know.
Nice job guys! But what happened to the cannon? And is there no more pageantry, or banner letters?
yes, you are correct. the band hasn't been in a parade in over 6-7 years ago. it appears to be that the person who edited the description added more years to the band's parade participation hiatus. The band is in the process of finding 2 people to be trained to pull and fire the cannon in a near-future parade(possibly Sept. of this year)...hence the reason why we didn't have the cannon during this parade. And for now,the band is utilizing the cheer team as a temporary colorguard.
@Lecmar91, strange, when i was a member of the band. members of the band would fire the canon. usually, the members who sucked at marching...something must have happen if you need people "trainined"
wow liberal185, you are very insolent and inconsiderate. is that what you learn in a salesian school? if 'yes' .....then what a shame. you haven't learned the values of the salesian spirit your school is supposed to teach you, and that's sad. And no, it is not a troubled boys school you imbecile. and yes, 'your' school's band is w/e, and that's because your school does not have a reputable band program, unlike ours, which does.
No..people consider the school a higher education than offered at other schools. Its a school of technologies, 8 in all. It's a school that big universities look upon not as a high school, but as something more. This school is so unique that we used to be a high school that offered AA degrees one year after Senior year. Now, the troubled boys, well there are some of those anywhere.
