  • they should just put one of these with every phone since Sprint has the worst coverage... i just got mine for free also... with free monthly service!!!

  • i called them today after switching to sprint 2 days ago and told them i had crap coverage, they're sending it out at no cost and the guy waived the monthly fee.

  • What if I don't have internet

  • i called sprint today and got an airave for free!

  • This is CRAP!!! You pay for cell service and DSL/broadband service to use this... haha! Very funny guys... or get a wireless router and Wifi capble phone, then use some software to call out with your cell phone. I use the $25 a month 300 minutes/unlimited data & txt Virgin plan with my LG Optimus V Android phone and GrooVe IP. I get unlimited calls & use my wifi at home to connect....

  • It doesn't need a computer on to work. You would plug the Ethernet cable into our router/firewall/cable-modem.

  • I noticed the ethernet connection on the back. Does this mean a computer has to be on for the femtocell to work?

  • I recently renewed my 2 year contract with Sprint, and after telling them that I was sick of having zero coverage at my house and was going to switch to Verison despite the higher prices, they gave the The Airave for free and waved monthly fees. Hope this helps!

  • @prettypocky hehe bcs u mentioned the magic words XD..cancel

  • @prettypocky they did the same for me. Now, does anyone know if I will be able to use this with Vonage?

  • In-Home Mini Cell Towers Coming Soon (Cancer Bonanza)

  • i first heard of the airave about 2 hours ago... i checked the availability on sprint's site using my zip code - said it was not available. i then called the nearest sprint store, they merely said to call them back in 2 months and it *might* be available. i then called sprint directly, they found i was not only in a coverage area, but they'll send me an airave at no cost, AND waive the monthly fee. i use my cell for business which helped the situation.

  • How long have you been with sprint? because they are not waiving anything with me, they are being really horrible. They even noted that i was not in the coverage area and they still say i have to pay the full price. I have been with them for one month, should I wait another month and then complain again?

  • i've been with sprint for almost 3 years, and i have 4 phones on my account... you can't expect free stuff if you're a new customer.

  • @godFATHERfrazer I have been with them for 3 days and they are sending it out for almost free... They charged my credit card $50 but they are giving me a $50 credit to my account. They are also waiving the monthly $5 fee... I just called the cancelation department and told them I want to cancel because I do not receive service at home when the store told me I would.

  • @godFATHERfrazer I have been with them 10 years. I called and told them that my cell drops calls in my house and they offered to send me the airrave, totally free. This was 2 days ago.

  • The GPS antenna also tells Sprint exactly where you are and the Airave WONT power up if it doesn't see itself in the United States. Why? you ask? Well, simple. They don't want you to avoid paying roaming fees.

  • I just got mine and the 866# they give you for help says its DISCONNECTED. I was talking to them last night and now this morning they are DISCONNECTED... Did they go out of business? the # i have is 1-866-556-7310 should be 24/7 and it worked last night. whats going on...

  • i have a question, i think i might be getting this soon and i was wondering i have an xbox 360 and i would like to know would i be able to plug my xbox 360 into this and have xbox live?? please respond

  • No, you can't do that. You need to get yourself a wireless adapter for your xbox or if your xbox is close enough to your router just run an Ethernet cable from it to the xbox.

  • lol no how would u even do that u have to hook a cat5 cable to the back of the satelite and the other end goes into a router/modem it would be badass if u could use it as a wireless network adaptar tho

  • If you have a fast internet connection it shouldn't be a problem.

  • Please pardon the incorrect spelling on the name. There should be only one 'R'. Sadly, YouTube doesn't let you upload a replacement video, so there is no way to make corrections like that.
