Funny old film but very risque for the times it was produced. Those nearly see through body stocking that they wore on the stairs.. The flash of an outlined loose boobie.. oooo!!! scandalous I say.. ;))
a glimpse into the past, shades of Ziegfield, large stage choreograpy and costuming. good prototype for current singers to create future versions of the song,i.e. amy winehouse,o.b.m
Wonderful! -- A quote from a famous book came to my mind when I watched those showgirls. -- I hope you don't mind: "She gave a shriek and straightened herself and the heap of her soft, chill flesh came up against his body. He pressed it all up against him, madly, the heap of soft, chilled female flesh that became quickly warm as flame, in contact."
Normally quite a jaunty number seen drawn out to fit the tedious, self absorbed artistry so revered by the French... and those that muddle teenage aloofness with passion and romance. Of course, that is an Englishman's opinion ;).
art timeless art. I savor it........
