This is next to useless. The sounds are too fast and there is usually insufficient time to match the pictures with the words, or even to keep up with which word the speaker is on. Fail.
@JackTiger9 Mate, that's what pause buttons are for, then you can go at any speed you like. For sure though, if you actually try it 2 or 3 times, you'll be able to keep up without pausing. And best to use the one on our website with a native speaker reading it. My pronunciation here is pretty bad. If you use the same material with Audacity then you can completely control things, slow it down, etc. This recording is like driving at 10 km/hr. Okay for learning but you need to get faster. :)
Very interesting. I've been looking for a good way to learn Russian, but so far I keep getting a whole lot of "It's like this because of this." Instead of "This is just how it is." Helps to speed the process. I wish that Pimsleur had given the Russian version text with it so I could read along with it, because Pimsleur is a very good program. It's not just one word things like with Rosetta Stone, but it has no way to read along.
@Soudavolstviem As I said below, my pronunciation needs work. :P
But it's also not 'knee' like the English word 'knee' where the 'k' is silent. You do hear the 'k' but it's quick and you go straight into the rest of the word. k'nee-ga
You can listen to a Russian friend reading the lesson on my website.
@2010inger For sure, I need to work on my pronunciation!!! Finally I have audio of a Russian friend reading the lessons and it's a BIG help for me (and for others I'm sure). You can hear it on our website. (See the link in the description.)
this video is very helpful and i found is very useful, however when i clicked on the link in the describtion and it said that the web address could not be found. That aside i'd like to compliment you on the quality of this video *thumbs up*
@v8einstein Only know 2 languages: English and Indonesian, but am making progress with Russian, Japanese and French. Once they're done, I want to learn Spanish then German and some Ukraine. :)) It's fun when you have good material to use for learning. :)))
