I am one of the biggest 007 fans, & I am ready for it. The I heard about the MGM was MGM said they own the rights & not someone else & other stuff. I am looking forward to this movie & dont forget Conery cam back after On Her Secret Service. I know the MGM/UA debocal did delay the movie but, I think Crieg will be back as bond after this one & maybe do more.
the plot description is literally the same as the World is Not Enough. M's past gets MI6 attacked that's literally like the opening scene with sir robert king getting blown up in MI6. Then M and James' relationship is tested when James says Electra is evil M doesn't believe him. M's life is in jeopardy M gets kidnapped by Electra. same story honestly bond should just go back to the cold war they aren't using gadgets anyway just go back to the books hollywood isnt flemming
Typical press junket BUT what HAPPENED to Daniel Craig??? He looks very old, puff faced and tired! Did he come right of shooting a movie or what is it??? He surely does not look healthy at all to me! BTW Michael Wilson is getting old also since the last presentation! Sigh! Surely an era is coming to an end! Where is the younger generation of Broccoli's or isn't there any??? Love the title! I know in the comments you mentioned that you'd never do it again but that's not good enough. But then I had no intention of seeing 'Casino Royale' until I saw David Edelstein's review of it on CBS Sunday Morning. Within the span of two and a half minutes, I went from not wanting to see it to wanting to see it really badly. Will the same event occur with 'Skyfall'? Stay tuned.

Quantum weren't exactly the most interesting organisation but it seems that the film makers were working towards something which they (apparently) aren't going to follow through with. It possibly had something to do with Jesper Christensen (Mr White) not coming back. Still, with SM directing it should be better than QoS.

I thought that the producers said (when 'QoS' was released) that Craig's first 3 films would be a connected trilogy, with the 3rd bringing Bond to a recognisable starting point (as in the original series). @idawson007 Yes, something down that line. The problem with my "The Craig Renaissance" and your "The Carig Continuance" is that they both sound like Robert Ludlum titles. Kind of ironic since some of the critique against Craigs Bondmovies is that they are too much like the Jason Bourne franchise.

One thing about the conference that I became curious about was the fact that Sam Mendes said that the names are being kept secret because Bondfans would recognise them. Which makes me excited and pretty sure it has to do with the more classic elements of Bond.
Skyfall has the potential to become a great Bondfilm. Sam Mendes is a good director, the cast is great, I like Craig in the role and I love the secrecy surounding the movie, something rare when it comes to Bond in my experience.
I am hoping that this will be a great one, the last two have not been so good in my opinion. I just didn't like how the two were reboots and all that. Craig kicks ass though so hopefully he will follow like Connery and Moore and have a great third film.

As a Bond fan, I'm definitely looking forward to this. Bardem is a perfect choice to play a Bond villain, and I like the idea of it being a more focused mission. As much as I've enjoyed seeing a more emotional and vulnerable Bond, I think that story has run it's course. I am intrigued by the idea of someone from M's past coming back.
I still think Q could work in Craig's Bond series, it worked with Dalton's series. The humour and gadgets just needs to be more subtle. Like Bond's suitcase in FRWL or Brosnan's watch that could detonate explosives.
Im hearing Blofeld still can't be used b/c of the McClory debacle, but I hope thats false as Fiennes would be a perfect Blofeld, a great successor to Pleasence and Savalas. I think this has potential to be Craig's Goldfinger!

I think they're going back to the Bond Blueprints with this film since many of them were absent in Craig's Bond films. If I have Q in the film, I would keep his scene with Bond limited as possible. I think they might go for a License to Kill details, a dark Bond in a dark movie with many of the Bond Blueprints and some fun time with Q during Bond's mission. It worked for License to Kill and keeping Q's role limited might result in a good film. Just don't let Justin Bieber sing the title.
I think if you follow the thinking of modern Hollywood, this will either be Craig's last film or the next Bond will be released very quickly after Skyfall.

A lot of Hollywood films do that, where it's usually not necessary to put that much money in a film.
