@ruth7784 Thanks for watching Roofy. 2 dogs on the sofa - one big bad boxer with a brain the size of a walnut and one permanently hungry ( eyes that say "they don't feed me - ever") terrier with the brain the size of a small planet. If she had opposable thumbs she would rule the Earth
Stew, this is really great! Love the haunting melody here. Love those sad love songs, hehe. I can tell you put a lot of heart and soul into this one, doesn't seem contrived at all. It's a wonderful listen. :) Janet
@onewomanandsomesongs - Janet Thanks for that. Your support is always welcomed. I tend to start with a molody or riff and have no idea what words will fill it - or if they will be contrived or not!
hi Stew. good song writing here. unusual key for the uke i think, but the minor is appropriate to the lyric/story line. well written and performed, as always, chuck.
@chuxtrux - Chuck Thank you yet again for taking the time to listen and comment - really is appreciated. Hope you are well and I'll pass by soon to see whats new
@Wrongemboyo3 - Never heard this in my head as up lifting . ....But thats good to know how it is for others. Still ropey at the songwriting stuff so comments help . Cheers Bob!
Hey, I really like this one. I think it's great the way it is - lively, lyrics that really draw you in, some nice strumming & singing - just plain fun to listen to. At least Wisdom says hello to him, I can't even get that!
@Wysiwygnuttyjo51 - Hi Jo Thanks for watching. Inspiration? Usually from a tune or a riff and somehow some words just fit and start a story. Just learning so there's bound to be a better way!
You're not fooling me, Stew. Behind that door is a secret ukulele society and you are it's High Priest. It was too much for the poor girl, all that late night chanting of My Dog Has Fleas, and the sacrificial burning of the guitar. You've got to choose, Stew: a normal life with normal people or the life of a ukulele player with the rest of us nuts. Great sound to this one.
Another excellent song! How many dogs are on your sofa? :-) X

Another good song Stewart, as usual it tells a good story - which we can all relate to.
Don't worry about the contrived, self-indulgent and extra verse bit - we can also relate to that too.
