  • Dodo bird: "wft what about me"!!!!!!!

  • THYLACINE!!!!!!!

  • 2:29 thats a nice piture. . .

  • BOO HOO

  • 1?3 of the animals in this vid were bred by man, meaning we facitated the speciels much like cats and dogs through selective breeding. Really WTF

  • and all will become extinct in the 21th century

  • on some GOOD day... human race will be on the same LIST!

    if god is good!!!

    if he is!!!

  • @Quovarius you were doing good until you mentioned ''god''

  • EVERYTHING MUST DIE!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:26 why do we always kill animals taht have mustaches?!?!

  • i want to punch those people in the face most of those animals look cool

  • 1:53 that animal must have been badasss

  • I will FOREVER remember my fellow brethren who have fallen before me...

  • java noooooooooooooooooo

  • ) ;

  • I SWEAR TO GOD I HAVE SEEN AN AUKLAND ISLAND MERGANSER IT HAD A HELLA SHARP BEEK AND LOOKED LLIKE A DUCK

  • how the have high def pics from early 20th century

  • @salmonsen28 Read start of video: Colored pics are stuffed specimen. Museums. Paintings. Stuffed specimen put into nature for photographic purpose.

    No problems

  • 1:54 hahaha LOL! syrian wild ass...hahahahahahahahahahaha OMFG XD syrians gone wild!!

  • Poor Dodos, Who else thinks they looked so cute T_T

  • Isn't it presumptuous to say that an oyster or clam is extinct? 80% of the earth's ocean is still unexplored.

  • @omarcain we can narrow it down based on natural habitat, but you still hold a valid point. it's very possible that some of those species are not extinct... yet

  • Tecopa Pupfish: 12 Feb. 1982? Anyone else think it odd they've got the date of extinction?

  • @zabanboylan They presume something extinct when they cant find any surviving specimen. They couldve gone extinct earlier, before they did the search expeditions.

  • Syrian Wild Ass.

  • @skunkSiD wow cant you hear the message in the song

  • lol fail at music, was it really necessarly the sad music?

  • @SkunkSiD It's very fitting music.

  • hey the golden toad has had some sightings just to let you know

  • Comment removed

  • I LIKE ANIMALS

  • I gaurantee some of those animals are still out there not to mention I think a lot of this has to do with regions more than anything. The race of the tiger is probably the same as certain races but gone in that region. As for dna cloning would be smart to have dna of as much animals as possible just in case something like this happens.

  • @JBMSTRIKER71 Dude if the animals ONLY lived at a very very small dense place and they havent been observed at all at that place for 80 years...isnt it obvious what happened?

Yeah animals can hide for a while but even if 20-50 of them survive they are functionally extinct, inbreeding occurs and they die slowly.

  • @ 2:49 LOL LAKE TITI-CACA xD

  • that japanese seal looked tastey

  • The Golden Toad succumbed to climate anomalies based on what I've read.

  • @badheart30 You read right.

  • This video opened my eyes a lot, fucking hate poachers and the rest of them dickeds!!!

  • Our human cruelty derived these animals of existance. Imagine 100 years from now. What other species are we gonna extinct

  • 1/3 of the species involved in this died of natural selection, much like the golden toad and other variously brightly colored birds, their camouflage was not adequate. Another 1/3 died of deforestation, and since humans are the highest up on the food chain, it would have inevitably happened. The last 1/3 well... Beep happens and people like fancy things. But I really don't understand why people are talking about global warming as a part of this... A 3 degree difference doesn't matter much, and

  • @AsABigMan Look up Golden Toad. It died of global warming, friend. And no, LESS then 1/3 in this video died of ''natural selection''. And the brightly colored birds is not bad camouflage man, it fitted their enviroment really good, thats called evolution - they got that colour a looong time ago and if it was bad for them they would've gone extinct way earlier...

Deforestation can be stopped, why do they have to chop down rain forests?

  • @AsABigMan 3 degrees doesn't matter to a human but consider the fact that 3 degrees int he human body is the difference between health and sickness. 3 degrees can change a lot of things in a ecosystem starting with insect and plant life which is the base of the cycle. brightly colored animals got that from natural selection it fits the world they live in.

also if deforestation continues there won't BE any plants you may not care but humans don't need to.

  • This is not evolution. Evolution is a NATURAL selection process. We, humans hunted and exterminated some of these species. Some other are gone due to contamination, deforestation, global warming, etc. "Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet"- Agent Smith in The Matrix.

  • Its so sad of the fact that none of these exist anymore.. :(

  • I can make a comment now

  • human can be in a document like that created by an another future spiece.....we are so consumable....and if we continue like that the end is not so far away...

  • lol i feel bad for the animals and espesialific the tiger

  • fucking human race!!!!

  • @alecker23 you know that species going extinct is a natural process. in the billions of years earth has been around millions of species have died out even before humans hunted.

hunter eats prey , just how it is

  • @alecker23 extinction has happened naturally forever

  • @Belgdor Do you consider habitat destruction and massive over hunting natural? I don't. Most people with comnmon sense dont, either.

  • @Zanazuah well we are party of nature right so technically yes not that I support habitat destruction lol

  • @Belgdor It's not natural or necessary to chop down so much wood that birds die because they can't nest anywhere, tho.

  • @Zanazuah Is that why birds all over the world are unexpectedly falling from the sky dead in huge numbers

  • @Belgdor It's the main reason why birds are going extinct. It's habitat destruction not poaching/Hunting. Think what you want but I know i'm right. :)

  • @Zanazuah It is natural; we're animals. We can't do anything unnatural...

  • @MyFaceBurns Ok if you are gonna say shit like that our discussion is over

  • @Zanazuah Okay, I guess I'm right then.

  • @MyFaceBurns No you are just random and stupid and look on this issue in a very very abstract and immature way.

    Seeya.

  • @Zanazuah Grow up. Why do you have to reform your repressed homosexuality into some sort of childish anger, directed at those who are evidently much more intelligent than you.

  • @MyFaceBurns LOL Evidently much more intelligent to say that Every single thing humans do to animals is natural because we are animals too? That may be very intelligent in your virual retarded world, but in reality its the most imbecilic thing a person can say regarding nature and wildlife.

Repressed homosexuality? How do you know if im homo or not, you homophobic idiot? You've got some true rock bottom standards you little cunt. Stop talking if you're only trolling.

  • @Zanazuah I'm not trolling. I'm being realistic and logical. We, as Humans, do certain things naturally. This includes all the normal stuff that most animals do, but another is a by-product of our intelligence. Our ambition to rule, to destroy, usually for selfish gain. It is completely natural. Also, more species of animal became extinct before Cro-magnons even existed.

  • @MyFaceBurns You replied to one line of my comment. Good work. And yeah quickly - call up the IUCN and tell them the extinctions are natural - they say it's unnatural and they are experts at this.

Please insult my sexuality again - which you dont know a shit about aswell and say something ''smart'' to make yourself look smart.

  • @Zanazuah Extinctions are unnatural? You're insane. Are you saying the dinosaurs being wiped out is unnatural? That diseases are unnatural? Anything that causes death is unnatural? And if you really want me to insult your sexuality; you're gay.

  • @MyFaceBurns No,you're talking shit again. The dinosaurs died by an enormous ice comet. That's ''natural'' but abstract and only happened once to this earth.

Diseases are NATURAL, they dont make species got EXTINCT. Use your brain. According to IUCN (who are the real experts on this) say an unnatural extinction is when it gets massievly over hunted or their habitat is destroyed by humans.

I didn't want you to insult my sexuality - I just wanted you to realize how retarded you are for doing that.

  • @Zanazuah You told me to insult your sexuality. So I did. Also, you say extinctions are unnatural. Not human-caused extinctions, but extinctions in general.

  • @MyFaceBurns I didnt say extinctions are unnatural, retard. I said extinctions caused by HUMANS are unnatural, and the IUCN says that too. Look them the fuck up. Stop making up stuff that I didnt say.

To quote myself : ''According to IUCN (who are the real experts on this) say an unnatural extinction is when it gets massievly over hunted or their habitat is destroyed by humans.''

    GG.

  • @Zanazuah ''And yeah quickly - call up the IUCN and tell them the extinctions are natural - they say it's unnatural and they are experts at this.''

  • @MyFaceBurns By ''THE extinctions'' I was pointing towards the extinctions caused by humans.

    CONTEXT??? DERPP HERP??...

  • @alecker23 Thousands of species go extinct EVERY DAY, not just because of us.

  • Why do extinct animals always look so much cooler than the ones today :/

  • @danthecat21 There are some cool looking animals today aswell. Check up Kakapo, Ostrich, Dhole, Eurasian curlew, Galapagoes and Giraffe.

  • @danthecat21 because our sick relatives captured and killed nearly all the beautiful animals on the planet..

  • @danthecat21 maybe not cooler, perhaps they become cooler when they are not among us anymore.who knows if our grandchildren will say that the species we have now will say they are cooler than the ones that will be left when they grow up?

  • @danthecat21 because people think like this

that animal is beautiful i must have its fur or have it stuffed in my house -_-

  • @danthecat21 Because we killed them, because they looked so cool :(

  • @danthecat21 Yeah the DoDo comes to mind...

  • @danthecat21 Because you're not used to seeing them, so they seem unusual and intriguing to you. Were they around today, you probably wouldn't think they were so cool looking.

  • It's called evolution.... the weak die off...

  • I seen a flying fox

  • the best part about life is that everyone dies

  • Its such a shame that those all became extinct, many of those would be peoples pets nowadays.

  • Damn 1904 was a hell of a year.

  • the human being failed in its evolution.

    This is a fact.

  • @signalcorporation It's funny because a fact is an undeniable truth, and evolution is still scientifically considered a theory because they haven't found enough proof to make it a law, so its not a fact.

    THIS is a fact.

  • Bubal hartebeest i saw. I was messing around and i saw this thing growling at breaking my door so i took a bat and wacked it to death as it made a sound like ''hmpphm and on the last hit it went oah and it wa s dead. sad but true i could've killed the last one ever.

  • Hehe, Syian Wild Ass LOL

  • Comment removed

  • hmmm... A wild ass...

  • LMFAO Japanese Seal even looks has asian ass eyes!!

  • 1.52 so funny :D

  • DRAGONS GET SNUBBED!!

  • My favorites are the Caroline parakeet and the ivory bill woodpecker because I'm reading about them in a book called "the race to save the lord god bird" by Phillip hoose very good book

  • so where did u get these color pictures of these "extinct" animals from?

  • @PureSMOOTH1 Read start of video: Colored pictures are stuffed specimen in museums, paintings or stuffed specimen put into nature for photographing.

    No problem.

  • :'( if only the magic of love could bring them back

  • Music is cool

  • wait the flying fox is dead out are you sure? fuck did we kill off some of the most awsome animal'z in the world >:(

  • Newfoundland Wolf

  • good video, for me personally the Coasta Rican 'Golden Toad' of 1989 is very sad to me, i the story of them is wonderous!

  • how come you have color pictures of animals extinct 100 yrs ago?

  • @Kostallica666 Read start of video: Stuffed specimen. That means stuffed specimen in museums, some pics are paintings and some stuffed specimen put into nature for photographic purpose.

    No problem.

  • @Zanazuah No, you're not getting it. Basically NONE of them have gone extinct because of even the TINIEST bit of hunting. By the way, the term "Hunting" also refers to "Overhunting" and "Poaching" as those are still hunting. Not only that, but looking back through your list, more than half went extinct WITHOUT HUMAN INTERFERENCE, so it happened naturally (Nearly all extinction is naturally caused) and that's only at a glance. I bet if I looked the other half up, it would be 75-90%.

  • @TheDullahan LOL Stop talking out of your ass. Look up passenger pigeon. Died of massive over hunting and its in this video. And btw poaching isnt hunting, Poaching can be that you trap and animal and poison it. Retard. And I dont know which Wikipedia you looked at but mine says that the majority of the of the animals in this video died of habitat destruction or poaching. I know you want a cute fluffy explanation that they got extinct naturally but it isnt realistic, sorry manchild.

  • the dodo??????????

  • @chololo360 Read the title you retard, 20th century. DODO WENT EXTINCT IN 16TH...GOD...

  • @chololo360 1800's.

  • @chololo360 he clearly said 20th century. Dodo's died out long ago, unfortunately, thanks to our shit species.

  • it sadens me to so many wonderfull creatures disopearing because of the forcefull movement they indoor when we move farther into thei habitat

  • 0:14 That mouse from The Lion King!! Why did it go extinct? Thats sad...

  • No... Not Lesser Billy ( 3:26 ) Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

  • dodo is mising up there

  • @20tinav Explain why please. The Dodo went extinct in 16th century, read this title of video. 20th century. Explain.

  • What happened 7 september 1936?

  • There was a animal called "Syrian Wild ass" ? Really

  • syrian wild ass LOL

  • You missed the Blue Pike, 1983.

  • Chances are some of them are still on or planet.

  • @xeonidas Explain why.

  • @xeonidas How you know? did their album drop out jus't like 2pac??

  • Sadly, pretty soon we might have to add the White Rhino, Orangutan, African Elephant, White Tigers and many other magnificent creatures.

  • @ProphetOfTheTeapot We will. We will....

  • The Hula painted toad was rediscovered 3 month ago

  • @oshri8 video uploader is a lazy cunt

  • how did you get color pictures of animals that went extinct a hundred years ago

  • @yoyodogg96 Use your brain, friend. The color pictures are stuffed specimen with changed backround/Put into nature for photographing or its paintings. :) It even says at start of video, nutbrain. Sorry but tired of ppl asking this 10 times a day without watching video for explanation.

  • Bengal tigers are not fully extinct yet but are going to be soon if no action is taken.

  • 2:27 thylacine =O i want domesticate that lol jk

  • @killafr0mhwd humans have been killing animals since the beginning it doesnt mean our life is more valuable animals kill humans all the time it doesnt make them more valuable killing IS a part of nature even for humans

  • @unrealGoon some kids have never been into the nature so they dont understand hunters dont kill because they wanna murder

  • The java and caspian tigers were beautiful...

  • Ryukyu Wood Pigeon is so beautiful...

  • The Arc-Form Pearly Mussel will be missed... 2:48

  • i hate hunters i hate animal killling i hate everything like that! there would be more of these animals stilll alive if it was not for greedy stuiped humans trying to make money####£$E :'(

  • @thecheekydevil you must be retarded. Animals kill others for food, some could over hunt them because they don't have natural predators. (Like a lion fish) No predators, and kills other fish.

  • @thecheekydevil you sicken me, having human life worth less than an animals

people hunt for food very often, not everyones a rich cunt who can by all there food from the supermarket

  • @nssurge ur fucking stupid for saying that. Why will people hunt ending anothers creatures life for fun then they deserve to die what makes there life worht more and people are ruining the world. and if they kill animals because they need to survive then its good because thats the way of nature

  • @Killafr0mhwd what about people who hunt and eat the meat they catch

  • If only assholes could go extint like these animals do. The world would indeed be a better place

  • More fish need to go extinct.

  • It's "Lesser Bilby" not Billy

  • Why do people like This video 'Extinct Animals 20th Century! ' ?

do you like Extinct animals lol?

    I don't... :'(

  • Two years ago, I did see the CHOSIEUL CHESTED PIGMEON IN A RESERVE ON ARGENTINA. THERE ARE A ENTIRE FAMILY OF THIS BIRDS, BEAUTIFUL COLOR AND VERY SMART. ALL THE FAMILY IS WALKING IN A BIG PLACE AND ARE VERY HAPPY.

  • I saw CHOISEUL CRESTED PIGEON in 2012 Jan 2 in Singapore Jurong Bird Park

  • @Doglover6230The Choiseul Crested Pigeon (Microgoura meeki) is an extinct pigeon which was only known on the Solomon island of Choiseul in the Pacific. On further expeditions in 1927 and 1929, no specimens were found. It is assumed that the Choiseul Crested Pigeon was not only a victim of human hunters, but also fell victim of destruction brought by non-native feral cats and dogs that were introduced to the islands.

OWNED. You saw a pigeon that looked similar dude.

  • I'm pretty sure dinasors should be included

  • @Laxbro696 20th century

  • species will extinct while there is life on earth, get over it, fuckin tree huggin sissys

  • @robke101 Species goes naturally extinct, THATS what evolution is called. Its natural. Majority of the animals in this video died by massive over hunting or habitat destruction - read up on them. You are not a tree hugger if you wanna stop illegal poaching and forrest destruction to save beautiful animals like we see in this video...I'm a hunter btw.

  • @Zanazuah then i hate you.... i mean dude how can you do that!!! your just mean and evil.... i want an animal to turn around a shot you to see how you fucking feel!!!!

  • @thecheekydevil You realise animals kill humans too?? You're a manchild and got no idea how biology works. Animals kill humans - humans kill animals. If you feel bad for animals like that then you have never been in the nature and you are a stupid PETA Cunt and can fuck off.

  • @Zanazuah yes, that's true, but some species will have to make room for the wellbeing of people, simple as that, our technology and our need of space and resources are also a part of the NATURAL evolution of the world and its inhabitants, thats the way i see it

  • Why ???? Must humans kill these poor animals

  • More then 75% of these extinct animals are because of humans.

  • southern day frog??? i could haved sweard that i saw that frog when i was little(1995)

  • @madara158 You saw one that looks like it, dont be a retard

  • soooooo many extinct tigers gosh

  • no the wild ass thingy is in the zoo that i kive neer

  • NOOO! not the turtle!!!

  • How in the hell can you blame humans and specifically hunters for this? More species died out before man came on the scene than have since we showed up and started killing them.

We did not kill them all.

Evolution is FULL of dead ends. Animals that could not compete.

  • @TheTmgunz Read up on all these animals: Habitat destruction or massive over hunting. Is that not human caused by you? To me it is. And yeah obv animals go extinct but not because they starve or cant lay their eggs due to their habitat being gone etc...

  • THIS IS VERY SAD :{

  • What the hell happen between 1900-1925?

  • Actually the pink headed duck were rediscovered a few years ago.

  • Pig Footed Bandicoot isnt extinct, ive seen that in Bangladesh :/

  • @rashidhumine The Pig-footed Bandicoot, Chaeropus ecaudatus, was a small marsupial of the arid and semi-arid plains of Australia. By 1945 the species vanished form South Australia and was reported to be limited to "a slight foothold in central Australia". Nevertheless, Aboriginal people report that it survived as late as the 1950s in the Gibson Desert and the Great Sandy Desert of Western Australia.

    Retard.

  • Thylacine's are exitinct. The sightings are akin to bigfoot sightings - bullshit.

  • i think the caracara is still around, Im pretty sure i saw one when i was little, it was caged but it was alive.

  • hmmmmm ......i wonder why the Bali Tiger went extinct ....

  • @cb7pwn Poaching and habitat destruction

  • @cb7pwn Because Chuck Norris killed them all!

  • What about Tarzan!

  • HA! will these animals be rediscovered! HA! these animals were probally hiding this whole time cuz they're tired of this bullshit people do to them. the unlucky animals who were rediscovered are probally like "Shit they found us, the jig is up"

  • Java tiger (have been some sightings) CAUSE NONE LIVE TO TELL THE TALE HAHAHAHAHAHA eh hem...rip

  • Not the bandicoots :'(

  • teehee titicaca :3
