Repentance is ot a one-time event, however. if we want to stay sharp and in tune with the "Spirit, we need to get in the habit of practicing daily repentance. The cleaner we are, the more the Lord can use us.The more we keep our sins confessed up to date, the closer and more joyful our fellowship with God will be. How many of us would eat from a dirty dish or drink from a grimy glass? In the same way, the Lord seeks clean vessels and pure hearts. It is absolutely critical for keeping the anointing.
I love the Sovereign Lord, HE is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, omni-benevolent everlasting. Oh, I wish I could describe Him,but I can't b/c there r no words that can define Him,no poem that can illuminate Him,no tongue that can explain Him.He is simply everything for everybody, everywhere, every time, and in every way.And if I forgot anything, well He's been there and done that.So who is this God I serve? Who is this King of Glory? He's everything to me! Always was and Always will be : )
@NorthForkFisherman there is evidence of many floods, though we don't know how great they where. all i mean by saying this is that we can't scientificly prove if "the great flood" ever existed or not. don't claim something of which you don't have evidence or proof.
@gyrran Actually I can. And I can do it be examining the chemical makeup of just one formation of evaporite depsoits in the US. The Opeche Shale. Shall I continue?
@gyrran I'm guessing by your continued silence you don't want to hear the data I've got that supports my position. If you wish to live in ignorance, fine. It's a choice that fewer and fewer make each day. The knowledge that has been collected by our forefathers is a gift we humans would be wise to use.
@NorthForkFisherman no, it's just that iv'e been told many times about evidence and proof of many greater floods, but it seems that whatever one historian says, there is always another who begs to differ, and this really exhaust me since it makes me feel like i somtimes don't have any facts to rely on, so i just try not to think about it and let people who are convinced by facts or beliefs continue to argue by themselves. i'm pretty convined that you are a stuck up clever dick though..
@gyrran Responding with insults? Sounds like fear to me. Perhaps you thought my comment about ignorance was an insult? It is not. It's simply the state of not knowing. This is nothing to be ashamed of and is the beginning of wisdom. Knowing that you do not know something helps define your study. Now, I will provide you with facts. The careful examination of just one formation.
@NorthForkFisherman the reason why i insulted you was because you won't accept that we've been tought differently. i didn't mean to claim that my "knowledge" is true, nor do i support your "knowledge". the fact that you wouldn't leave me alone when i didn't answer you proves that your'e too far up your own ass to accept that people have the right to have different beliefs.
@gyrran Ah, that's the whole point. If you can show me conclusive evidence, I'll change my position. Working from knowledge rather than the fear and ignorance you so obviously seem to enjoy puts me in the postion of control. And, education is in control. The fact that we are conversing thru such a medium is clear proof of that simple fact. Now, let's look at some data. And since you've been SOOOO POLITE I'll restrain myself. /sarcasm.
@gyrran We'll start with the Opeche Shale: This formation runs from the Dakotas to Texas and at the center in it's deepest part is a 91 m thick salt deposit. This salt contains no pollen from modern sources. All comes from Permian plants. Now the area of salt deposition is 188,400 sq km. Dividing by 2 to get the average thickness of about 45 meters. This equals 9 trillion cu meters of NaCl (continued)
@gyrran The density of salt is 2160 kg/cu meter, so this represents the evaporation of 540,000 cu km of seawater. To evaporate this much sea water and leave the salt requires 10^24 joules of heat energy. That's more than twice enough to raise the temp of the Earth's atmosphere to 100 deg C. Ergo, Noah would've been cooked and all life extinguished. Further, there is 3100 feet of salt under Detroit. Again, too much heat. (continued)
@gyrran Of course, none of this matters with out data to back it up: Wilgus, Cheryl K. and William T. Holser, 1984. "Marine and Nonmarine Salts of Western Interior, United States," AAPG Bulletin. p. 765-766, and for the chemistry info, feel free to refer to any college chemistry text. It'll have all the table for heat of formation and evaporative processes. And this is just one evaporite deposit we've examined.

Sorry, no ark, because there was no flood. Just what the geology of the earth says in rock-solid facts.
