For every gene that an organism posseses, there are two versions, one inherited from the mother, and one from the father.

The orange gene is dominant, which means that there only needs to be one orange gene present, and the tiger will be orange.

The white gene is recessive, which means that two white genes need to be present for the tier to be white.

Albino tigers are a result of a different gene completely, which prevents the expression of any colour, so would be white tigers with no stripes.

Thank you slavedestiny. Yes, white tigers are not albino. Bengal tigers, as far as I know, are the only tiger species to carry the double-recessive gene for the white coloring. Their genes have not gone through a mutation, though. They are also highly inbred tigers that end up with medical issues.

Because the mother could have seen them as too weak, either because they were simply both born too feeble, or that their albinism would be too much a threat to them in the wild, so not enough survivability to care. "Better things to do, like, survive and breed survivable cubs". It does happen, even in captivity where it would not be an issue. Instinct is still strong, and that's a good thing.

That would be a very bad decision. Tigers cant digest all the fat on steaks like humans can. They usually eat lean meat. Zoos feed lions and tigers and most of their carnivorous cats horse meat bc it is much more lean and has very little fat. Dont get a tiger if youre gonna feet it steaks. Actually dont get one at all.
