That first car was wrong for stopping like that, but you should have moved into the right lane as soon as you saw them hitting their brakes. Instead you stay in the left lane... doesn't make sense.
@adogg619 Yeah, I could just move into the other lane. However, I typically will wait for a few seconds before performing that maneuver. One policy that I always try to follow is to never make last minute driving decisions unless I have adequate time/space to check if it is safe to make the move. In most cases (such as this one), being patient and waiting a few more seconds allows the situation to resolve itself and avoids the risk of not seeing a car next to me and side-swiping them.
@adogg619 Good advice, which I do follow. However, it’s difficult to continuously check my blind spot while also maintaining good focus on what’s in front of me. You can never be 100% certain that a driver didn’t creep into that area. Either way, I’ll keep your comments in mind while I’m driving to try and become a better driver.
i did that once before and got honked at, but i yelled back at them through the window. i had to because people where driving there cars in the center lane passing traffic in the right lane on there side of the road. they would ride in that lane when there turn wouldnt be for another 2 blocks.
cool you have a TJ. and yes i see stupid drivers like thist all the time. i really like the ones that use the turn lane as their own personal lane, and after locking up the brakes, blowing the horn at someone for actually using it correctly.
sheesh the last was very close, idiot! we have many center lanes like that and it kinda sucks but havent quit seen anything like these clips! nice captures!
Yeah, I agree, it's assholes like the driver in the second video that cause fatal accidents that could be completely avoided. I was hoping, after I watched the recorded video, that he would hit the curb when he turned back into his lane and his car would be disabled.

@mattbjrs
Well always be aware of your surroundings. Behind and to the side of you, not just looking forward.
