  • Hi Elsa, you are the best sagat player I have ever seen in my life. Hope we meet again somewhere.

  • fantastic...how can I by a darbuka....i am Vietnamese :)

  • @holan311985 you can get one through amazon.com or just put in your search engine. Some music stores can sell them as well.

  • For those curious about Elsa Leandros' accent (), she's from Venezuela and was raised in one of my FAV cities in Spain; Madrid. The way Senorita Elsa plays those zills is fantastic. OLE!!

  • A friend of mine had zills made from "bell" material. They ring, and ring, and ring. Beautiful and rich.

  • Its really really amazing

  • what size zills are those?

  • Nice to see a talented female tabla player.

  • @Elisadances

Check out Raquy and the Cavemen

  • This DVD is regionless - it will play in any region player.

  • can anyone tell me if there are any plans to do this dvd with a region 2 dvd encoding?

  • I just got the DVD came to Greece !!

    Its GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Thank you so much

  • Elsa s zil play is so wonderful.. I am not sooo fond of her bellydance (a bit sloppy in the movements) but her musicality in playing the zils is just outstanding!

  • hi looks amazin!!

i was thinking bout orderin it on amazon already before, this trailer helps me..

only worry: ive NEVER zilled.. is this program too early? what is recommended to start with? thanks

  • If you've never zilled before and don't have a working knowledge of Arabic/Middle Eastern Rhythms also try Mesmera's video put out Harry Saroyan to start. Main thing to remember when practicing ~ don't practice sitting down all the time. Good luck!

  • hi!!!! thank you sooo much!!!

i thought of mesmera s already coz it looks basic in the trailer.. is ansuya s hard to do? hmm not sure whether i m talented in playin a rhythm instrument not good with movin the fingers quickly in general, unfortunately :)

  • This video looks like it would be easy to follow for beginners and I think Ansuya's is also good. Try as many different ones as you can and then pick the method that works for you. No one is born playing zils and it takes LOTS of practice.

  • thank you very very much!! :)

  • I just started zills, and it's frustrating as heck. I wouldn't get this video for a beginner.

  • oh thanks!! someone said mesmera s (there s a trailer online) is very good for beginner.

still, i believe it sHARD especially for me as i m not a super quick "finger mover" - bit clumsy :(

i like a low budget video by shamira, an armenian dancer in the us, a lot it s shamiradance com or net i believe. she s a great teacher and her zill dvd is really basic too..

but many reviewers said elsa s is really really good for variety in zill play so i guess you ll get back to it ;)
