Dianne Wiest's absence is a loss to the very nucleus of this program. Both "Monday" female patients were exceptional on Season 1 and 2. Overall, stronger acting and more compelling characters in S1. Wasikowska is an immense talent. I admire her. "In Treatment" is a gift from a medium so barren of courage and insight, it makes every 1/2 hour a small treasure. SEASON 4!!!!!!!!!
As wonderful as each episode is, for me the most interesting episodes are the ones with Paul visiting his therapist Gina. The dynamics between Gabriel Byrne and Dianne Wiest are a wonder to behold. I am sad that Dianne Wiest is no longer on the show, she brought a great voice wisdom to every scene she was in.
Gabriel us had really aged. Still is, but charming man.
