In fact, that was why people came here. When we are united like that, we are strong...and have been propserous, caring, and more free. People have always been losing their homes, getting laid off, and hungry. That has nothing to do with whether you are free or not. In this nation, if you are willing to work hard, you have the best chance to make something of yourself, and you have the most giving and charitable population on earth who will freely try and help. Imposing government on that decreases freedom, and generally locks the needy into a postion of dependency...empowering only the politicians who push such agendas.

Start with a coming dificit over 3X the size of the Bush deficit which Obama decried. Move to a trillion+ $ stimulus package that has in fact hurt the free market w/even greater loss of jobs, eclipsing within 90 days the mark Obama promised it would not go past if we would just "hurry up and pass this bill." Move to the bail-outs, where large segments of the free market are being nationalized & run by government. The Health Care fiasco, Cap & Trade. Put simply, Obama is a marxist ideologue.
