You are talking about success. However, there are great challenges toward maintaining functional (vs dysfunctional) career attainment. You might also relate some of your understanding toward how plans are being thwarted and frustrated to a larger picture, too. You might explore GATT and international trade agreements that have expanded jobs in the 100s of millions to developing economies (Chindia), where costs and legal restrictions are significantly less or non-existent.

@mohammedabshaun - fine. good for you (sincerely). however, i suspect, and if i am correct, the future is going to be abysmal for developed economies due to those int'l agreements, undermining competitiveness. understand that large, multinationals are gaining their earnings growth from overseas, including trillions held in foreign banks, ensures trends will not abate. all i can say: if you have savings, i hope you are diverting it to "bullets, guns" and "silver, gold."

During the great Depression the most millionaires were created, and when this is over I am sure that record for the most millionaires, would be beaten. I hope you will participate.

The banks aren't giving people loans for a good reason. Like you said, most of them don't know anything about business. All they do is come in with a business plan and ask for a $500k loan, when they have no experience with that kind of money. Organic growth is a good way to go.

Sir Richard Branson (Virgin) sold records from his front room. Sir Alan Sugar (Amstrad) began on a London market selling portable aerials from the back of an old van.

The problem is everyone these days wants to be "successfull" tomorrow without putting in the hard work. Or they think success comes from a large loan and a platinum credit card.

Excuses are for broke people. If there is a will there is a way. I started my business 5 years ago by gaining capitol from ebay first. Now I upgraded to a pawn shop and now the money is flowing right in. Yeah it was hard when I had to scrape and gather up money to own a bigger business but I am glad I took the hard route. I learned from my mistakes and I am thankful I am not one of the many that is out looking for someone to pay me. I pay myself and am loving it.

You can start a cleaning business with ten euros, a mop and bucket,sweeping brush and some dusters and polish, plus some home printed flyers and bingo your in the cleaning business.

Don't even need a vehicle, you can use an amazing invention called the bicycle so you get fit and earn cash at the same time.

The trouble is alot of people feel that cleaning homes or offices is beneath them so they are happier staying at home,playing video games and complaining.

I like what you said about starting off small and then working up. Here's my question in relation to that. I have informal experience of teaching english and proofreading/editing documents from citizens from Germany, Italy and Russia. But in order to really build my customer base, I'm probably going to have to move back there for a bit. Any tips on how to build this in the meantime?

definatley the choice to not be poor is harder for some people.  Who were born into very difficult circumstances.

but i think if the person was able to watch the video, like have the internet use skills to find it, then they chose to be poor.

I have a poor white female bg. Wow, did I have to start small. I also knew nothing about numbers, finance, biz -- I took it as far as I think I could with getting experience on the job, then formal studies were needed in my case. It wasn't the MBA which made me smart, it was the five years of night school, struggling through very hard stuff and learning what I CAN and CANNOT do. And how to delegate & control. Good vid, uprated and faved. And planning the night before is so important! :)

But, Abdul, don't you know that people act on the decisions that their subconscious mind is making. Experts say that we operate by default. 94% of our thinking (inner dialogue) and behaviour come from our subconscious mind that was programmed by the enviorment and other people in our past. It's only when you become conscious of this fact you can make some changes. People that grew up in a household that was poor will have "poor mentality". That's why it's so hard to break through.

Doing a business plan takes time but a lot of info is out here already. A business plan can save you some hearthache and headache, it opens your eyes to a lot of things.
