hi queens was it easy for the psyical training and education part like what did you have to learn and how long was the out of class compared to the in class training thanks if you answer back!
@TehBloodyYank556 no. when your weapon is pointed down range and u have rounds in a mag which is in your weapon u keep your hand on the lower receiver. above all u keep positive control on the firing mechanism of your weapon. and thats coming from an 11B
Man, been awhile since I saw Benning, reminds me of the bad weather there. I heard that they got rid of the pull up test for airborne school, is that true?
@350z350zify It depends on how far you go. Straight leg infantry is fairly easy. But if that's not enough of a challenge and want to set yourself apart from your peers you can always excel at PT and get a grasp of squad level tactics. Airborne units, Ranger, etc, hold themselves to a higher standard as well.
@queensofbattle im just kinda worried because i have flat feet, my recruiter said i should be fine, and they'll let me join and everything its just that im afraid that i'll get a foot injury, and that would really suck. but ive been doing lots of excersizes to strengthen my feet. thanks for the info though. and thanks for your service (:
@350z350zify I got back from training back in December. I went the 11C way, so I had an extra week of mortar training, that regular Infantry doesnt get. It all depends. I was High Stress High Speed. But if you put your mind to it, it can be done. Im proof.
@USMarineRifleman0311 Ya but did he need to use it? I think that man could have shot at any target he wanted with the gun backwards and a mirror and he would hit it. haha
Carlos did use the loop sling during the stalk, it was a 600yd shot and no competetive shooter would take a chance and pass on the loop sling in such a situation
@USMarineRifleman0311 Im not 100% sure on what equipment he used on that particular mission. All i was saying was that that man had an immense amount of raw skill and in my opinion was the best riflemen to serve in Vietnam. Probably the best to ever serve in the United States Military.
@USMarineRifleman0311 You haven't deployed, have you? Once you go downrange you'll realize all the dick measuring is useless. Army infantry and Marine infantry work together, we support each other in combat. In Marjah 2nd ID was part of task force Leatherneck. During Phantom Fury 1st Cav (Army) literally had to stop, mid-assault, and wait for RCT-1 (Marines) to catch up and make their hit times.
Moral of the story - Army infantry kicks ass. Marine infantry kicks ass. Shut your ignorant face.
i handed an AO off to these fucks once and they fucked it up before I even left
you can call it dick measuring but Marines dont like to retire their AOs to army units, that was a general rule in Anbar. I didnt sweat for 7 months to pacificy that fucking AO so these unprofessional fucks could go around shooting first and asking questions later.
Ive seen the difference...yet I never saw an army grunt out in the field as long a Marine grunt
after 3 months of actually operating with us army units we stopped giving them the good missions cause the lazy fobbit fucks only wanted to go back ASAP for showers and warm chow
there were cases where we trusted the iraqi army to hold our flanks on a sweep rather than our own
@codyLIKESbaseball Depends on what you want. Marines are better at PT, but the Army lets you to think outside the box and solve your own problems. In my opinion that makes for a more well rounded fighter. That said, they are a lot more similar than either branch would want you to believe.
we prob gone be in same platoon but different companies u kno like bravo and charlie companies but i dont kno totally how is gone work but i got kinda of an idea
For those shipping out to Benning, remember to stay hydrated, drink, drink that good ol H20 becuase your going to need it. Don't want to be a heat casualty during training and ruck marches, and DON'T fall asleep during the classes.
who decided on that camo pattern that seems to blend in with nothing on earth but other uniforms? why not go with multi-cam pattern and stop sticking out like a sore thumb for the taliban to shoot at
@killallcommies1 It does work. It isn't perfect. Even in the video, namely around 4:40 it blends in. I also have pics in my photobucket account and I tested it against Multicam. Based on my tests I see Multicam as a great woodland camo and good for urban with red bricks. It is bad in gray urban or desert. UCP however works great in desert and gray urban. It doesn't do good in urban with red bricks and works in some woodland but is bad in others. Having both is better than just one of the two.

@TheSpartanHealth not as bad as it used to, but under stand infantry is the main effort, and airborn is elite, i will always have pride in airborn infantry, so if u think ur ready, think again, and realize ur stepping into the answer of the call of the warrior, literally when ur in that plane u get to see inside of a can of woop ass, jus dont pussy out in basic or jumpschool, grab ur balls and step up if u can take it-army vet- 173rd airborn brigade, vicenza italy

1:09 this sandbag bullshit really needs to stop
you people need to learn how to shoot with a fucking loop sling
we shoot from the standing when we're this close
2:26 theres no sport in this prone shit, atleast get in the fucking kneeling for 200yds and closer.....

@USMarineRifleman0311
Future soldiers pay attention to this guy right here. You will put up with the bullshit from Marines all your career.
Question: When was the last time anyone use the sling loop as support in combat?
Answer: Inchon. 6 decades ago.
Semper Fi devil dog. Oh and by the way I was an 0331 previously so I know what I'm talking about.

@queensofbattle
well then you should know this is the lower standard
this doesnt measure up to what we always had to live up to
USMarineRifleman0311 1 year ago
@queensofbattle
loop sling? We used it back in 03 before we were issued the 3 pt, this was also the time of the M16A2 and the 1990s generation of Marines.
Carlos Hathcock used a loop sling on his own rifle when he stalked the NVA general
