Saw these guys in Atlanta. Absolutely the best band on the planet. Been listening to them for several years but the live show took my respect for them to a new level.
capo at the 4th fret. put yr 2nd finger on the A string at 8th fret [F] and 1st finger on G string at 7th fret [D]. pinkie = 4th finger ok?. let all other strings ring [including D string]. for the 2nd chord move the chord shape DOWN in pitch by 2 frets. let the open strings ring.
the chorus is the same but the bass moves - makes it sound diff.
the solo bit is same chords -ends on an F# derivative chord Then bridge is built around an F# sus "cluster/chord" ... contd...
for this play 3rd finger on A string at 8th fret, 2nd fgr on D string at 7th fret, 1st finger on B string at 6th fret.
FOR THE SOLO: the gtr dude is playing octaves C, C# & D# mainly- to "spell out" the underlying chords... if you don't know octaves learn them. v handy interval on the gtr.
