Every year this date must bring such sad memories to the relatives and friends of those killed in the attack on the twin towers; my heart goes out to them. I wonder if the politicians have learnt anything from the events of that day.
Do politicians ever learn? I suppose that is a pessimistic view though. I hope they have and will continue to! Yes, this last decade and a half or so has left behind an inordinate amount of tragedy it seems.
It's always interesting to hear peoples various stories about that morning. One of those few moments where we all have a vivid memory of exactly where we were and what we were doing.
I thought you were set to tell a tragic tale of sudden, heartbreaking loss amidst the panic of a nation and, indeed, the world. I was mildly disappointed :P
Haha, well all of that is true. If I were to tell it in poetry I suppose I would. :-P In actuality though, in day to day life, I suppose we've all had to find our ways to put it behind us (in a healthy manner)
And your one wasn't a complete waste of space? Check the next page, man. Plus, I actually know Stef. Probably should check the facts before you blindly post the first thing that comes into your head.
the first thing that comes into my head is "shit fuck pussy lick, what a complete asshole" if you know her or not makes no difference your still an asshole and youll still be one tomorrow *now checking facts* "the computer says NOOO!" *asshole detected, virus scan in progress* "asswipe required"
Wow, probably took a fair bit of time to concoct that gem of a comment, eh? Put your brain into overdrive working on those sub-par insults? Bravo. No, really. I'm sure you think you've accomplished something, so I'm not going to deny you that false sense of achievement.
oh yeah took me a long time because your the most important thing right now right :- ) you require max attention aww poor baby *special treatment* ohh i am crushed you deny me pleasure in my achievemnts of talking about pointless crap i am so hurt :- ( u r a bad man *more special treatment*
Well, I'm glad that now you aren't just throwing insults at someone whose personality you've gleaned from one comment.
Having said that, we're actually not talking about anything.. also this video is months old. So I don't really see any reason to continue this "discussion", if it can be called that.
It's interesting to go back to my blog entries from six years ago this week and see what I was thinking as the events unfolded. It's more interesting to wonder how those events have shaped where we are today, and wonder what might be different if that had never happened. Thanks for sharing your story.
Haha, I'll take that as a compliment. To be honest, sometimes I think I have the brain of an old woman. My brain has always been older than I was supposed to be... which is sometimes a good thing. But when you catch yourself thinking things like "Kids today!" at 20... you know you've taken it too far. :)
I used to think I'd never be able to stand being on camera. Now it's natural to me. I do tend to jump around a lot. :-) I think my reservations about being in front of people are what got me started writing too. (See just this comment had a lot of jumping around.)
It's amazing how an event like that is noticed around the entire world! I know we here in the US appreciated emotional support from other countries. This planet can be a scary place sometimes!

Oh, and LOVE THE NEW GLASSES! Your choice of frames is exceedingly well suited to your non-choice of face. If that makes sense.
