  • Welcome to Philly !!

  • man i'm from brookshire texas grew up watching the astros from years ago.i hope they sell the astros because ownership has not did shit to improve this team at all.the astros will never win a title because they don't have the personel or leadership.every other team can find gems and win except houston.as of today 6-2-2010 they have the 2nd worse record in the majors. how in the fuck can u be this sorry year in year out?will you fucking country hicks please get some real fucking players? damn

  • the starting pitchers before the game warm up in the bullpen just too stay lose he was going to start he was just warming up in the bullpen, hope i helped!

  • i went to astros spring training, got over 260 autographs, and the last auto i got was Roy Oswalt. He Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • how is roy a hall of famer? are u kidding me? he fell off this year as one of the most dominating pitchers in the NL, he has more to prove in order to be a hall of famer

  • are you an idiot? Every pitcher has a bad season. Nolan Ryan did terrible his first few years and he's a hall of famer who has a terrible winning percentage! Saying that because he's having a bad season and note this is his FIRST one, doesn't mean he has a lot MORE to prove, but rather regather and get to where he was. Also, he's been very dominate after he recovered from his hip strain. You need to know the information before posting your opinion DUMBASS.

  • wow you had to be canadian, hope their not all retarted like you. out of all the pitchers u had to contrast a career with, you picked Nolan Ryan? u should ask urself if ur the idiot. u choose someone who pitched 27 seasons, by age 31 had 5 seasons of 300+ K's. had 4 no hitters. Pedro martinez will be a future hall of famer, hes actually pitched long enough to make such a statement, has had a season where his era was under 2.00. , highest winning percentage of any 200 game winner.

  • kid ur retarted. Ryan was sent back to the minors in 1967 because he couldn't locate his fastball! And you compare him to Martinez who has pinpoint control?!?! ryan was only an 8x all star in 27 seasons. Martinez is an 8x all star, and he's only 36! And have you looked at ryan's era?!?! Compared to the era of Martinez or Seaver (who is a 12x all star!), all ryan had was speed! 100mph fastball is no good if its not over the plate. (he's in 2nd place for the most walks, how embarrassing!)

  • naa fuck you. im not comparing Ryan to Martinez, im not an idiot like you. this is about YOU not believing that Oswalt has a lot more to prove. I brought up Martinez, because that makes more sense than to compare Nolan Ryan to Oswalt, like you choose to do. You dont need to tell me their stats you idiot, tell me what makes Oswalt a hall of famer already?

  • they might lower the bar from 300 wins to 250 wins and from 3000K's to 2,500K's as the plateu for pitchers nowadays. John Smoltz, Tom Glavine, are pitchers that have pitched long enough to make a case for, NOT Oswalt. Now if you can prove me otherwise, please do so, if not, dont ever decide to jump into a discussion that u cant back up. you fruity Canadian. Canada sucks!!!

  • 8-2, 2.31 era, 0.90 whip, after the all star break. Thats not exactly "falling off"

  • we werent talking about a certain time frame, the original question was if he deserves to be in the hall of fame, comon why would he be in the hall of fame? I think thats a joke, thats not to say that he doesnt have the stuff to be, but AT THIS TIME he is not a shoe in for the hall of fame

  • Fell off this year huh? Guy has an injury, TRIES to play through it while recovering, and does bad, and that's falling off? You try playing with an injury dickface. Then when he gets well, he OWNS.

Also, I AM NOT FROM CANADA. IM FROM GOOD OLE MISSOURI. I'm no cityslicker like your dumbass. Frickin' boston city pricks. You're lucky your up there, down here you'd get your ASS kicked by us country boys.

  • go fuck a goat country boy. all u idiots werent saying shit until he started throwing good towards the end of the season, the original comment was that he is not hall of fame material yet, he has MORE TO FUCKING PROVE, has not fulfilled the requirements and whoever thinks he has , is a fucking retard. and that would be you, since u brought up Nolan Ryan into the conversation, u were really trying to compare their careers?

  • CAN I FUCK YOUR MOM THEN? SHE'S PRETTY DAMN CLOSE TO A GOAT IF YOU ASK ME. What i think and what you think are different. SO WHAT? GET OVER IT CITY SLICKER, GO FUCK THE FENCE POST IN YOUR BACKYARD ONE MORE TIME.

  • your a fucking idiot, go ask any baseball fan who is neutral when it comes to oswalt and the astros and see if they say that at this time Oswalt would get in the h.o.f or not, fucking moron, u dont know shit.

  • im neutral and oswalt would get my vote

  • the numbers are not there dammit!!! is he a good pitcher? obviously, even more now that he seems to be back to his old self, but he still needs to pitch more. the original argument here was that if oswalt retired after last season, would he be in the H.O.F , my answer was HELLL NOOO , cuz he has not pitched long enough. check the numbers.

  • im neutral and i have a slimy slipper penis

  • yea Oswalt definetly gets my vote. Probly the most dominating pitcher of the 2000's decade. Him or santana.

  • hahahahaha real funny, how long ago did I post that shit? did u read what this was about though? about him being hall of fame material RIGHT NOW or not, I say noo, not yet.

  • Comment removed

  • u gotta be fucking kidding me, u dont know baseball if u think a pitcher who has pitched for 8 years can accumulate enough stats to put him in the hall of fame. dont give me that shit about imagine if he was on a team like the yankees, we can say the same shit about soooo many pitchers who keep getting bumped from the hall of fame, do u know who Vida Blue is? look at his stats, ur probably making ur opinion based on who the fuck is pitching RIGHT NOW in baseball, sure Oswalt is one of the best

  • pitchers in baseball (based on his 2nd half performance) , but that is something totally different than saying he is H.O.F material right now. Longevity is a key factor as well, 8 years is NOT ENOUGH. I think im the only fan on here, who is not an Oswalt dick rider. Is he ur favorite pitcher? or are u an Astros fan or something? they are not even sure if Curt Shilling should get in

  • ur the one sticking ur nose in something u obviously dont know shit about

  • Agreed! Idiots from Boston, bitch about guys who don't have the offense, when their frickin' rich dick cities buy their team to world series.

  • All we have to do is sign Ben Sheets this offseason. Roy and Sheets would dominate together

  • whatr you talkin about not yet SESbb30 of course he isnt yet you cant become a hall of famer when your still playing.learn something

  • not yet, but he's pretty damn good.

  • agreed

  • ROY OSWALT IS A HALL OF FAMER NO DOUBT

  • Roy Rox!

  • he's just warming up before a game

  • such a good pitcher

  • he is most definitely underated if he was with the yankees he would prob be all you would hear about

  • he was warming up

  • outside of johan santana, best "stuff" in the national league

according to poll from MLB players in the USA Today

  • Interesting fact, Roy Oswalt has the most wins of any pitcher during the timeframe of his career (began 2001 I believe) and that is with poor run support as any Astros fan can attest to. Even more than Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Johan Santana, or Pedro Martinez

  • 2 words: man stud

  • God, can you switch my arm with his? haha this guys a beast

  • Most underrated player in the league.

  • ktrice1, AMEN!! If this guy played for the Yankees or Red Sox, he's won at least three Cy Youngs by now. Oswalt is a STUD.

  • agreed as well

  • His mechanics are some of the best in the bigs I think.

  • Yeah, Roy is easily my favorite player. I hope the Astros can actually score runs for him next season.

  • agreed
