  • awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • I love the energy- the little girl (second from left) squeaking out the double "G" on the fermata! Got to love it!

  • To describe this video would require an adjective that hasn't yet been made.

  • Lol the saxes probably play on yanagisawas

  • MY band is better!!

  • @bwvbach must be... amazing~ lol

this is pretty crazy hard stuff

  • haha I love the bass bone!

  • @Skimbleshanks34

    I second that.

  • 2:32 i LOVE the crescendo .

  • These girls got it going on! who cares about a blooper here or there! Anybody who has played in a band (at that age!!!) knows how hard it is to do this!

So let's all just enjoy this and the energy they are spinning! Thanks for playing, keep the good swing up!

  • yamahas are good

  • I love the trombone soli..awesome!!

  • Definitely not the best BFJO recording I've listened to but still better than many bands could do

  • who wants to bet they all play yamahas???

  • great drummer though!

  • even if slightly manic

  • horrid alto 1 tone, its a honk!

  • Youre either listening to the bari or the tenor 1 solo. Either way, youre wrong. Thanks for playing.

  • trust me, i know the sax parts inside out having played alto 1, tenor 1 and bari parts.

  • for this arrangement.

  • I agree with rightboss, they have a nice Trumpet section and a pretty good Rythm section. They just need to play with a little more style... they are great though, keep with the great work!

  • This is the same "team" (gumi) as other postings from this year (2004). I'm impressed with the ensemble SOUND and the trumpet chops on the out chorus. Yes that's right little girl 2nd in from left touches two double "G"'s on the last chord. Dynamics really make the band-same said for the other postings from this group. Hard charging rhythm section!!!

  • do u know how many people in the world can play a high G. why is that a big deal?

  • Did you expect it from a young teenage girl?

I didn't. Being a HS teacher I appreciate this in it's own context.

  • Hey, you critical guys!

I wish the dudes in the school bands i taught had balls like this lot. I'm impressed. Despite there being no jerky teacher standing in front- they really build up a lot of steam. Thanks, girls! Keep it up!

  • How I agree about the jerky teacher.

  • Pretty good...Trombones, though, need to work on tounging in their soli section; it sounds like one big smear. The lead bone also needs to work on the tuning of her high Bb (and maybe it was just that she didn't tune well before the performance, but that wasn't good). As always, though, crazy awesome ensemble playing for such a young age, keep it up!

  • really good trombones but i think you girls need to work on playing the right articulations there are alot of dit's in this song i would say 40 out of 100% were played correctley but overall really good

  • namiojo renguekio very good all ..MAX

  • very good technique and chops and decent jazz concept, but the solo was not very good at all. Her swing 8ths were technically correct, the quarter-8th triplet, but she didn't actually SWING them. i'm not sure if she even tongued them or just slurred. Tongue the 8ths and accent the off beat slightly. none the less, the chops are insane for such young people.

  • tongue the 8ths? and wat sax player do you listen to who tongues all his 8ths?

  • thanks for swingin'

  • really nice overall... the only section i can really criticize is the trombone section... work on that solo section

  • you guys are tight!...thank you for not just playing it straight and exactly like Gordon Goodwin's big phat band (Im not taking anything away from them) ...those outdoor performances are hard on the trumpet players, i feel your pain

  • The drive from the rhythm section is so strong- check out the back beats in the out chorus! This band not only plays the notes, dynamics and phrasing but with FIRE!

  • Any trombone section with that kind of tone wins anything.

  • Very hot sectional work. Nice adaptation of Gordon Goodwin chart. Pretty good tenor solo. Out chorus full of energy and excitement. What a powerhouse band!! Check out last chorus- yes that's right high F's and G's in trumpet section. Bringing them here so we can check them out. I know they're not using mirrors !!!
