Thanks for the video. I think this is my all time favorite soup and I have never made it at home. I will definitely be making this soup and it's so easy. I don't know why I never tried it before. Thanks again.
I tried this tonight.. it was DELICIOUS!! I just maybe added a little more sausage.. and just salt and pepper.. and italian seasoning that I had already and it was WONDERFUL! dead on theOG
Love the video! Think I'll make this next weekend! Just a lil tip... Put the onion in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes before chopping. It won't make you tear up.
My daughter Victoria, made this for me tonight...It was the great treat for a sick Mom!!!! Since she cannot find Kale, she used spinach (one of my favorites) instead and it came out great just the same. Thanks!!!!
see i have made this quite a few times and my families LOVE IT. but we found that kale is too bitter so instead we use Spinach. it gives it a great flavor and tastes the same
@Ukrainelove101 Problem with " Ethnic " and " National " Chain restaurants is that they hire minimum wage newbies straight out of cook school to work from issued ingredients and a recipe sheet , whereas the real authentic foods were/are made by Granny , mom + her sisters for the big family occasion sit down festival meal .
Utterly different situations , and no wonder so many Chain Restaurants meals are utter crap .
The answer at home is to study up , experiment , and get taught by a " Granny "
This soup is EXELLENT! I am a huge fan of the oilve gardens version and this is it to the T. And talk about simple..
I used half hot and half sweat sausage, I also tend to have whipping cream on hand so IDK if it was that or just my tase but it was a 'little" very little creamy.. I might go for 1 cup next time.. but thank you.. WONDERFULL soup!
this was awesome!!!!!! i am going to make this for my parents and husband one n one night!!!!!!! you are an awesome cook!! thank you so much for sharing this with the rest of us!! and keep up the good work..i added you to my favorites so i can go to you whenever i need a good recipe! :)
I have a question for favabeany? I was wondering if I can used deer sausage? Anyways you normanly used Italian Sausage for this soup. Thank you for the video
@gamita1078 At the Olive Garden restaurants, Italian sausage is used so that's why I made it with that but I'm sure it's possible to use any other sausage as well.
Thank you, this is my first time watching your video and I was going along with it while cooking my own Zuppa. I like how detailed you were in the video showing me how to cut the vegetables and how the broth is suppose to look like inbetween ingrediants. It really helped out a lot so I know I'm doing it correctly. Thank you very much!
this looks delicious...i had this about 3 years ago when i asked a waiter what he would recommend as an appetizer besides salad...soup can be messy in a restaurant but i definitely enjoy it. I will try this when the weather gets cold. *FAVORITE!*
