This is very, very difficult to follow without clarity in Lacan's views on sexuation and the difference in the sexes. I am slightly confused by his contraposition to Nancy here and his thesis about the being of self as other, and especially the thesis of enjoyment as a 'pure present without presence' in conjunction with its equation with the intrusion of the real and the role of fantasy and (symbollic) representation in it. Anyone care to clarify?
