I have been flying for nearly 10 years (as a passenger) this video some of the views out of the window sorta make me a little nervous to be quite honest ;) Oh well - also about the comment of flying 45mins or driving 5-6 hours. I fly anywhere i cant drive to within an hour.

I don't like flying; I keep hearing the lame excuses saying that statistically you are safer flying than walking, but being in a tube thousands of feet in the air makes me feel worried that something will happen like the plane losing lift and all, but that is just a comfort zone for me.

i drive from long beach to las vegas thats like 5-6 hours depending if there is no accidents cause there allmost is

plane takes under an hour though. southwest and jet blue have great deals on tickets... really cheap.

But a while ago airtran got rid of all the dc9's and they have 717's now which are brand new and only like 6 years old, also airtran has quite a few 737-700's now. So no, airtran doesn't have used aircraft.

A HUGE fleet of 737s for that matter. And they seem to be big on the 737-700s with winglets, they operate 297 and have an additional 128 orders.

I know that the use of the 737 keeps costs down but I would still love to see the utilization of some other type of aircraft :-)

I agree. Some larger, medium to long range aircraft such as the Boeing 767 or Airbus A330 would be nice. Personally, I would prefer it if they used A320s.

Lol, Anything! I also believe that the CRJ would do them well. Routes such as DTW-MDW are too hort for such a large aircraft. :-)

@kolbe055 Southwest is strictly a low cost carrier, so using a 767 or an A330 is out of the question. An A320 would be nice though.
