@conkers477 Origins is put after 4, although it's zero. They categorize them according to release dates/chronologically, not event/story dates. So, Downpour is 8. It depends on how you see it.

silent hill music isnt just about being "scary" its about setting a mood... a tone... and giving the player FEELINGS they would otherwise not be having in a horror game... saddness. worry. paranoia.... and this guy is doing a great job picking up where Akira left off... I dont think anyone else could do that. this music really sets the mood for this silent hill, which is exactly what Akira did with his music.

You can attach any number you want to a title, doesnt mean its the installment number. The RE numbering system follows the storyline of the 4 main characters as it progresses. Not the installment number.

Still, it was a very good game with twists, but it wasn't an original story for the character. Know what I mean? So if you think about it like that, than this could be, based on your own opinion, be Silent Hill 7.

Simple if there is Shattered Memories it's impossible to have Silent hill 1 and 3. Also the harry of SM is s*** near the REAL HARRY MASON OF SILENT HILL 1

@fegde You must be misinformed, Climax is from the UK, Vatra is from Czech republic, Double helix is the only American company(homecoming) out of the 3. all of which are under Konami's command, and Konami is still Japanese last i checked. Finally only one person that is American has been working with the last 3 companies is Tomm Hullett.

@Grimaldojg McGlynn had said some days ago that she hasn't been contacted but nothing's quite clear yet. Licht has said that he'll include ambience, some industrial sounds and stuff but he still doesn't know about returning melodies or vocal tracks. I think we should wait some more - it's still a bit early. I have to say that I like the idea of an instrumental-only soundtrack though.

I hope it FEELS like silent hill.. even if homecoming and shattered memories were very different, the use of fermiliar sound effects when picking items up in homecoming, and the over the top psychological mind rape in shattered memories made them FEEL like silent hill games. hopefully this will too.

I don't really like what appears to be the main theme of this new game. To me, it sounds a little too formal, and even a little cheesy. But it still sounds fairly creepy.

Anyway it's my opinion.
