  • "Welcome to the golden age of Xenu" Bob Minton. Missed by thousands

  • 55:00 . . . is among the best insights in this video.

    Maybe even the best.

Beghe is probably especially gifted in his ability to do that (being an actor) . . . but it's characteristic of the Scientology ideal, too.

    Very good . . .

  • This guy should be a voice actor for computer games. His voice is awesome.

  • 'YOU KNOW WHO HE IS, IM NOT GONNA SAY THE NAME"

WHO IS JASON TALKING ABOUT THERE?

  • Actors are so full of shit.lol. They state things that are totally obvious to most people and then spend half an hour banging on about what great discoveries these obvious things were to them.lol. Is it any wonder people like this get sucked into stupid shit.

"I looked in the mirror and asked, who am i?"

Everyone does that chief. What we don't do though is join some crazy obvious cult.lol.

  • One thing that always strikes me about ex-Scientologists is how intelligent and personable many of them seem. It's weird how they let themselves be seduced into an abusive cult, and how they were eventually coerced into taking part in the abuse themselves.

  • @Pseudonym25 have you seen the video 'yelling at ash trays'? they show how they hypnotise you slowly.

  • @Pseudonym25 same way people are seduced into every other religion

  • So very compelling beginning to end.

"they're making me pay to get fucked up!" 1:04:29

  • I am Catholic and have never paid any attention at all to Scientology. I just sat and watched this entire video, not knowing why. As it went on I relized how sad it truly is. I pray for everyone involved in that. Kudos to Jason Beghe for standing up and speaking as he has done. God bless us all please!!!

  • @cdsinabox

Secular people view catholicism the same way they view scientology. I know you probably cant see it because your looking at it from the inside, but they are both cults.

  • @Equity213 catholicism doesnt sue detractors, make you pay for its teachings, force breakups of families. Dont be naive and think scientology is 'just another religion'. They are out to ruthlessly take over the world and they are absoluytely certain that they 'know whats best' for everybody. They are dangerous and should be destroyed. The catholic church is not inherantly corrupt and evil, although it has a few bad individuals. Scientology is corrupt, dangerous and evil, no question.

  • @Xiolablu3 I was going to reply to him, but you summed it up perfectly.

  • @cdsinabox Thanks mate, I look after the local Catholic churches computer system. The vicar (priest?) is one of the nicest people I know, and the most he has done to try and 'convert' me is ask if I wanted to pray with agroup of them when I arrived unannounced and interupted a group who were praying,. I declined and that was that, it was respected that I didnt want to and we carried on with our friendship. Catholism is not inherently corrupt. Scientology IS inherently corrupt.

  • @Xiolablu3 but they do prifit off false guilt, when the pope was dying they were selling candles that cost them nothing for ?amount with the candle salesmen ranting 'candles, candles, candles can't save the pope with out lighting a candle' that's falsely induced guilt since the dude was old as bleep and dieing of old age and nothing else.

  • great interview! can't believe youtube and google knock these movies down. they are supporting a brainwashing cult, seriously! WTF! they should have some fucking integrity!

  • This crap sounds literally like 1984.

  • It's sad, but ppl talking about pop. religions being like scientology are right. If as soon as ppl were born everyone started talking about lord xenu (and all the other crap) and telling ppl the only way to be saved is through scientology, it would have prob ended up just as widely believed as, say, christianity. It's crazy that the people who are willing to believe most of the ridiculous bull shit other religions peddle can turn around and laugh at how ridiculous scientology is.

  • Why, why, why are so very many in Hollywood so easily duped into believeing the utter bullshit of $cientology? Good people, wanting good things, duped by pure evil maniacal money grubbing fiends. Kills me.

  • @SippinonMickeys Because they get the Celebrity Center version of Sci, not the grubby version everybody else gets. They lovebomb these people (who want the attention and usually have some sort of issue) into signing the checks and that's it: another famous Scientologist. In Beghe's case (the classic `60s-early 1970s setup) he was a seeker, and had gone through other groups before hitting Co$. The guy needs philosophy, not Hubbard.

  • so 22 outta 1,590 people are scientologists... or trolls...

  • @horgandavid considering the odds, maybe one of them is actually a scientologist. but most likely if one of them saw this, they would report it. thus 22 trolls. ;) there's WAAAY more trolls than scientologist, no doubt.

  • Jason, David likes power. It's ultimate power. It goes beyond money, it includes soul, heart, mind, massive amounts of money, mass people and even one step further, the power to dictate truth. Even if you are only partially dictating truth to a massive amount of people that is power.

  • "scientology is so stupid, duh!" **guy goes back to reading his bible** "And then the talking snake said 'here eve, eat the magical apple,"

  • Scientology is absolute rubbish. The fact is that the universe was created in 7 days by a magical invisible father whos son on earth was named Jesus Christ born of a virgin mother!!

  • ALL YOUR E-METERS ARE BELONG TO US

  • He seems real cool.Anybody know how he's doin now?

  • scientology preys on the weak and bullied convincing them (brainwash) that they are special in that everyone else is under the control of aliens negative energy and that they cannot be controlled by the aliens so everyone that is under control seeks them out to pick on them in hopes of breaking them mentally so they can take control. Christianity are protestant Catholics, whilst scientology is the protestant version of Mormonism.

  • This is heartbreaking. The guy found out who he is and he got dropped. There is something wrong.

  • such a feeble minded person

  • @MrMic1146 He made bad decisions when he was younger; that doesn't make him feeble minded, that makes him human.

  • @Slivarito no, it makes him feeble minded. I guess they didn't have the southpark episode way back in the day so this guy didn't get an idea how absurd this cult is .

  • Poor guy. At the time of this video, he's been out of scientology for about a year, and he's still in the process of waking up. On the one hand, he seems to understand that the whole thing is one big cash grab. On the other, he seems to believe that you can actually cure a serial killer of his insanity (his example is David Berkowitz, A.K.A. Son of Sam, who is possibly a paranoid schizophrenic) by speaking one single sentence in the right tone.

Good luck on your recovery, Jason.

  • The guy seems to have SOME common sense at least. An absolutely invaluable you can learn by being a bible believer is to question the origin of a thing. You learn to study a thing out and check the background of the individuals involved as much as possible. You do the homework first. Doesn't take all that much time at all, especially these days. The bible calls it discernment. Heb 5:14, among other verses. How anybody can listen to more than 5 minutes of LRH is beyond me.

  • Also you might consider looking into battlestar galactica ,they also have their own following

  • Jason Behge , now that youre free from scientology I hear that the hare krishnas are looking for new recruits

  • great interview!

  • Wow, Right on Jason. But I can't believe it took you 10 years to figure out they really are after money!

  • 1:14:10

    Who is he talkin about?

  • Psychology of Scientology is to take good, normal people and convince them they are bad and need to pay for endless"therapy". Danger of man-made theories, they are not perfect as no human is perfect.

  • @roell29 I'm Canadian does that mean I can criticize the co$?

  • 42:53

  • 42:53

  • Warning: Scientology is just comprised of con artists. BEWARE!

  • 21 poor brainwashed clowns saw this video and still stuck their heads in the sand.

  • Bear in mind that the dominant mainstream corporate cult-ure of America is very much like a Scientology cult, so don't be too smug in judging Scientology. You just might be a member of a larger and even more destructive cult.

  • So were Thetans inhabiting the bodies of dinosaurs before people evolved?

  • This is Great Stuff!

  • Wow. Jason, in the beginning, is describing a personality type known as an empath. If you are one, you know it. You see things in people instantly. You know subtle details of who people are and how they tick without having to spend time with them. On the rare occasion that you share your insight with someone who is not an empath, they think you are nuts. Its a blessing and a curse. Alot of empaths are constant searchers looking for others who "get it". Which would explain him joining Co$.

  • Bravo Jason! Thanks you for your honest feelings. Thanks for this.

  • "When Jesus had nothing."

I think Buddha had tons and gave it all away?

However, countless millions who "follow Jesus," have more than enough!

For the life of me, I can see no difference between the Scientologist money grabbers, or the radical fundies in any other religion.."Christianity," especially included!

  • @neorich59

The honest truth is most all religions are guilty of many atrocities.

Scientology is indeed a smaller fish compared to Catholicism, but we have to start somewhere. I think a step would be no more tax breaks and financial perks for religious groups, and freedom of religion should not be automatic. If my religion sacrifices virgins, I hope that's ok, if you complain I will sue. You get the idea.

  • Any religion can be tested by `one` thing....if it`s Christian supposedly, then `why have these religions got so much money..? When Jesus had nothing.

  • Saw this guy interviewed on a BBC Panorama show about Scientology this evening..

    He came across really well..

  • when i was 4 i was crying on the floor of the bathroom because my dad wouldn't get in the shower with him, saying i was to old to keep bathing with him or my mom. as i was siting there i was looking around and in my mind i was thinking, "who am i, why am i sad right now? why am i here, why are WE here? is this body and place even real?". that was the start of i life long quest to learn, i was lucky enough to know when people were trying to take advantage me,others aren't so lucky. theyneedhelp

  • poor guy. feel bad for him. looks like he went through hell

  • What a cool, insightful guy Jason Beghe is.

  • Every post paid envelope you can find from scientology & Dianetics. Fill it with a print out of Xenu Leaflet. Than tape it to a brick and send it back as a response. Best way to protest. Tell all your friend to do this. The church of scientology will have a huge mail bill and each letter opened will free one of their members. Once you red Xenu leaflet they kick you out automatically. Tell as many people as you can. Power of the many. A million people send bricks back that should do something.

  • Fascinating!

  • He went back to his starting spot and tried again. He almost got high enough this time, but not quite. He tried and tried, again and again, but just couldn’t get high enough to grab the grapes. Finally, he gave up. As he walked away, he put his nose in the air and said: “I am sure those grapes are sour.”

  • @Svetka812 what are you saying? are you "clear"? can you fly now? can you visit other worlds? can you tell the future?

  • Once upon a time there was a fox strolling through the woods. He came upon a grape orchard. There he found a bunch of beautiful grapes hanging from a high branch. “Boy those sure would be tasty,” he thought to himself. He backed up and took a running start, and jumped. He did not get high enough.

  • @Svetka812 Foxes do not eat grapes, genius. But I do think you might be 'high' enough.

  • @MrCitizen28 "Svetka812" is talking about the Aesop fable "The Fox and the Grapes". After the fox realizes he can't possibly reach the grapes he gruffly says, "Those grapes are probably sour anyway". That's where the expression "sour grapes" comes from. Look it up on wikipedia.

  • @Svetka812 Are you suggesting that Jason Beghe has a case of sour grapes towards Scientology?

  • @semprini20 I know the people who were following an original rout and had arrived to a state, Jason was aiming to but didn't, because Church of M changed the rout. In the interview Jason blames the "grapes", when the right target should be the Church new management that screw the rout.

The grape is still there, sweet and juicy.

  • One thing I don't understand: Why the f*ck was Beghe in an acting class in 1994 (where he met Elfman)? I mean by that time he already did the great Monkey Shines with George Romero, had a part in Thelma & Louise and stuff. But I guess that's what Scientology is all about: looking for people who are a little bit insecure about themselves and their talents... and then totally fuck them up.

  • @Gottzilla some actors continue to train even after they start getting regular work. Its to help them improve more and more. Tobey Maguire went to back class after he did the first Spiderman. Just because you get a big role doesn't mean you have all the range in the world.

  • Wow, this is my 3rd or 4th time watching this - simply fantastic!

  • Jason was atheism really that scary. I'd rather believe in nothing than $cientology!

  • I have a new religion, it works and its free... believe in yourself, help others believe in themselves and they will help you believe in yourself when you have setbacks.

Treat others they way you want to be treated and stop postponing your life. "Psychs" call it Procrastination (look it up and find a way to beat it). You got it? Did it cost any money? NO! Just believe in yourself, thats the essence of success.

    *STANDING OVATION*

  • scintology- a big disappointment

  • Fckin genius! Anyone interested in any cult should watch this.

  • this is amazing.

  • I was in Hollywood right before 'Christmas' and was walking down the Blvd. and I heard a cover band singing 'Money - That's What I Want!' and I looked over across the street and the song was coming from the ridiculous X-Mas set-up next to one of their many buildings. I was alone and was hoping that there was someone else on Earth that got it the moment I did because I had left my phone at the hotel! I think the LA Weekly ran a thing about how LA Hates it & was harassed by the cult freaks!

  • When Jason says, "I'm not gonna say the name,,,you know who it is", at 1:14:30, who is he talking about?

  • I would believe Tom Cruise or worse, David Miscavige the Savage!

  • hes the cop thelma and louise locked into the trunk of his car.

  • @RothchildReptilian He's a pretty cool guy, eh leaves scientology adn doesn't afraid of anything.

  • I saw J.Travolta at the haiti thing... did he had a face job botox treatment or some thing done?

He has the same wierd look as that M.Rinder guy before he left the cult same wierd skin look..?I wish he could leave this cult already...Love Beghe !

  • HES SO HOT ON CALIFORNICATION

  • I'm gonna wait till walmart has e-meters on for $14.95 then I'll get mine

  • @pencon61 I´m waiting for the bargain price of $ 4,99

  • Comment removed

  • Oh my god. The pharmaceutical companies were behind the salem witch trials?!?!? OH MY GOD! *Signs up and spends over9000 dollars on an e-meter*

  • beatcat22 I don't really give a crap if I spelled a couple of words wrong. This is not grade 12 english class

  • I like this guy.

  • Get well Jason. Much respect.

  • Looks like Scientology have released the hounds to get poor Jason Beghe.

  • pencon61, you were being ironic when you

    misspelled "idiocy", weren't you?

  • ohai Beatcat22

Anyone who is watching this video is, hopefully, already somewhat versed in what Scientology is or is about. This guy is talking from the heart.

  • i wanna see more of this beghe dude. he is pretty interesting. will we get his own tv show?

  • These days you can save yourself thousands of dollars and just watch the South Park episode to find out the utter laughable Idiosy that is Scientology .That's if you're not gright enough to figure out that it's a cult of retards to begin with .woooooo some lizard guy is gonna get you wooooooooo I know it's true because some science fiction writer said so .

  • Next you could join a religion based on battlestar galactica.

  • Hey, as long as it's free, lol.

  • I don't get it how you could be gullible enough to fall for the total BullshYte that is scientology

  • I left Scientology 25yrs ago. Watched ABC Nightline, when Martin Bashir calmly asked about Xenu+Volcanos. Scientology Spokeman Tommy Davies went insanely Ballistic, threw the microphone down and stormed out. This is Junk Science of the Mind Money Hungry Religion. It's best to Stay Away. I had to Speak Out

  • Do you by any chance have that vid? Sounds funny as shit.

  • why dont you just get a life and work hard and all your unhappiness will go a way

its called time well spent hahahahahah

  • i read somewhere where hubbard stated in 1954 that if one wanted to be a millionaire to start his own religion.

  • Great job Jason and I'm sure this helped alot of people. Your already, by doing this making up for those who are in because of your influence. This is an amend of sorts. Your a good dude, so is Tom Cruise and others I'm sure. But you've realized two important things that to me is the moral of this. One is Scientology isn't needed to discover one's self and it doesn't define anyone. And two, if anything, it ultimatley strips a person of who they are or keeps them from becoming who they can be.

  • Tom Cruise for example, defines himself as a scientologist period. But that isn't Tom. He is a product of scientology. Tom hasn't becaome a better Tom because of scientology. Tom has become a scientologist, he has lost whoever Tom was or would be by now. Tom is what scientology wants him to be not what Tom wants to be by way of...In my opinion.

I totally get what Jason was saying I just can't put it into the right words.

  • This is GREAT! I almost feel like I'm in this conversation, I actually wish I was. I get the con and what he's saying and how he feels. What comes to mind during the conversation at 30 minutes in is Tom Cruise's conversation with Matt L. on the Today show. Matt says to Tom something along the lines of; If counsiling is helping Brook Shields how can that be bad if she feels it's helping her? All Tom can say is how She doesn't realize it isn't good. Tom doesn't have an argument it's all general.

  • I think what Jason is trying to say is aside from these people being good people, and how it goes back to his first win etc..etc.. The "CON" is people actually do discover themselves and feel good about themselves. BUT they become CERTAIN they've become that way because of Scientology. There is NO other way to become "You". In reality there is plenty of ways. But that is the "CON". So it's good people feeling good alowing themselves to pay, support, and inprison themselves in a FALSE "ONLY" way.

  • Which then makes you believe it's right to NOT talk to those who aren't also believing in what you now believe is the "ONLY" soloution and way. Which us where the brainwashing comes in that only an outsider can see. It's almost a perfect crime. Getting people to pay for bettering themselves with a hope of becoming perfect at the same time wanting to pay because they think it's supporting acheiving some ultimate Answer. Willingness is the brainwash. It isn't stolen if it's given. Thats the "CON".

  • Sorry for rambling on so much but it's so twisted. The more I hear the worse it gets! The deeper one gets in, it seems set up so a person is constantly re-realizing they are more screwed up then they thought. The good news is there is DEFINATE hope. The con is getting people to gladly keep spending willingly so they can search for the corner in the round room. The end result is eventually everyone leaves at different levels screwed up except for the person running the show making the money.

  • Enjoyed Jason in George Romero's "Monkeyshines." Haven't seen him much since. And now this. I just came to it via the recent hoopla over Scientology. Man, is this shit powerful! Dude is smart, open, honest, regretful and angry. This 2-hour monologue about his painful and damaging Scientology experiences is more compelling than most movies in theaters now. I've watched it TWICE! And I got shit to DO this week! I learned a lot. Thanks for your courage, Jason. Can't wait to see your next movie.

  • my 3rd time watching this. This is one of the best vids on youtube.

Im not a big movie fan but I will be going to see the next one Jason is in.

  • Fascinating and rcompelling video. Well done Jason Beghe - you've just made my personal "A" list for people I would most like to meet.

    Honest, forthright and very frank.

    Great interview!

  • This guy's yummy.

  • he didn't age too badly! i used to watch Thelma &Llouise and wish that they put me in the trunk with him!

  • Holla!!

    lol

  • I'd rather watch a movie starring Jason than Tom Cruise any day. He's my new hero. Cheers Jason!!

  • when i search Jason Beghe FULL Interview the first link is "Learn About Scientology" from the cult of Scientology

    way to go youtube

  • wow really? lol creepy

  • great interview

  • I can watch this over and over again and am flabbergasted every single time.

  • what a fkin legend man I was captivated by this guy-'coz I wanid ta try d shit' hahaaa gr8 for people who are in it n mite c this, my girlfriend was in it and it was hard enuf trying to get her out but fuck it I did it-up yours bolloxology xxx lol 2 every1

  • Jason, look into voice acting. Seriously. You're guaranteed virtually every role as a cartoon army general or villain. It's a great business, just ask Ron Perlman.

  • I've never heard of this guy.

  • But, I watched the whole thing and am happy that he got away.

  • Google "SOK Kneeophytes" for the Scientology parody that made Tom Cruise cry on MSNBC.

  • If Beghe ever starts a religion, I'm in.

  • hahaaa same here hes a legend

  • It's scary to realize how quickly a cult can be established and lead masses into a destructive world of fantasy. 3rd generation Scientologists see no other truth than COS. Jason had the great luck of having a "normal" upbringing that allowed his skeptical mind to accept the doubt he had repressed and "wake-up" to the reality that this whole "religion" is an absurd, dangerous, cult. (That stole a bunch of his cash and he got nothing but more messed up...sucks!!!!!)

  • I'm astounded his career isn't greater than it is.

  • "...and it was full of bricks and shit."

    Made me lol.

Also, excellent interview. He's quite the engaging speaker. Figures, considering his profession.

  • I can totally sympathise with his ramblings. This is how it feels trying to describe an Evanglical Christian group if you've experienced it from the inside. It's frustrating trying to describe a belief system that's based on a circular argument - especially a belief system that demands that you both submit to it's ideas without question and evangelize those ideas. I grew up in it, and it's nuts.

  • I'm not a Muslim, but by definition Islam is no more of a cult than any other religion.

  • Interesting interview. And Jason has an awesome voice. I'd listen to him read the phonebook.

  • he's still a little "fucked up" i'd say ^^

but he set a very good example!!

    Go Ex-Scientologists!!!!

  • who is he reffering to when he mentions some one named boddie? or bowie?

  • Bodhi Elfman, Jenna Elfman's husband

  • Interesting shit. btw Jason is still hot!

  • Comment removed

  • Go back to your REAL home MAmi

  • The nazi religious intolerant group?

Please, please tell us what you mean by that??

  • LoL. I love how he says "It's fucking retared" over and over.

  • Nice Job Jason!

  • Good interview. Informative. However..

    1. He's always been "perceptive", even from a young age. Until he met Scientologists, and that talent faded?

    2. He's never been "shy, introverted" etc. Jason even used the adjective "gregarious" (it means "social"). But later on he says, "I have kind of an antisocial personality"?

    shrug........

    Perhap

  • Well keep in mind that they just put the camera on him and had him talk for hours (its two here, and they seems to have edited quite a bit). He's clearly working things out as he says them -- several times, he says something like, "wow, I just realized..." etc. I'd give him a break on slight inconsistencies.

  • 36:30.

    enough said.

    lol.

  • your right

  • i don't really have 2 hours on my hands but im extremely interested lol torymagoo, Jason Beghe and all the other truth-seekers ftw!!

  • Respect and thanks Jason for shareing....

  • 1:39:16

  • $3000 for a f.... transistor radio!

  • Thank you.

  • your welcome and welcome to scientology...if you look to your left, death. And to your right,torture... down the hall is the bathroom.

  • just like Fritzls basement

  • LOL his 5 year old kid is a happy fucking guy. For as much as this guy has been through, he is funny as shit.

  • this shit is a FAD... and a cult... i like tom cruises movies but fuck man i think he is a nut.

  • Man, there are a lot of desperate, emotionally-deficient people that seem to gravitate to this stuff.
