lol i had a broken DSlite it was in half it just fell...and boom!it expl00ded so my way was epic i just used a hammer to take out everything xD the battery was wierd i think im poisonned cuz i used the back part of teh Hammar(teh Spikez)and it first made real hot bubbles when i tuched them...after like 10 seconds it was on Smokez so i got the water hose and it stopped..Li-Ion is wierd...itmakes hot bubbles&smokez.......it was fun ;D

omg its fukin simple to change the housing,the flat wire cable isnt even sensitive get that sht out of here,i abused the crap out of my flat wire while changing the housing and my ds ended up working perfectly,the only way you will break the wire is if you want to.

It DIDN'T Turn on, It BLINKED Green because that fukn idiot pulled the top ribbon cable through the hinge like it was made of rubber, he abviously fukd d ribbon cable, I have been doing repairs to Consoles including the DS Lite for over 10 Years and them ribbon cables have to be treated extremely carefully as they are like paper. Probably the worst design of a cable ever especially when it has to be threaded through a small gap like the DS lIte top screen.

@AznBoiHiro Triwing screws go in: hole where ds cart is, top left and bottom left on the back, and bottom right under battery door. Phillips screws fill in the remainder on the back.

I only memorized where the screws go on the back of the ds(bottom), not the top.

@kitkatjohnny No he isn't, a real expert would take their time when it comes to the delicate parts of a ds such as the ribbon cables. He messed up the cable in the video, hence why the green light blinked instead of just staying on.

I owned a White DS Lite. The hinge broke and it died. I got a new DS Lite Black, I kept it nice for a couple of months. But then the Hinge breaks once again. So I traded it in for a DSi.

THE HINGE HARDLY BREAKS AT ALL.

VERY STRONG MATERIEL USED. I still have a spare DS Lite. It's all good for me.

It's not that hard. I've done it a few times. first, one of the buttons on the shoulders broke, so I had to fix it. Then, I put something in wrong so I had to open it back up again, then close it later. Lastly, I got one for free to experiment on that I tested with and took out every part. I could post a slower video if I could find a charger for my vid camera.

Damn I hate these sped up demonstrations. Why can't they make them at normal speed? So what if you have to truncate the video into two, at least people get to see the detail. Oh by the way if you don't want people to try it at home then why the make the video? I have experience repairing laptops. I understand DS are smaller but I have heard some success stories in the web.

download the video, open with VLC media player then slow down the reproduction. doesnt really let you see the detail, but at least you can see better what going on. (currently reassemblung a dslite myself,)
