The last quote in the video regarding privacy is correct. A clinic is prohibited from disclosing that a minor merely visited the clinic. Parental consent laws [including the AL version] do not require notification to parents of all visits by minors to a clinic.  A parent's notice is only incidental to her consent to the minor's abortion. And thus this does not cover any other information regarding the patient's visit -- including the rape. AL law requires notification to police not parents.

Information [medical or otherwise] in the course of a patient's visit is immune to parental notification.

The clinic erred when it failed to report and when it implied an alternate signature would be acceptable. But it did not err in reassuring that all disclosed information would be kept private.

This is incorrect. When a minor merely visits a clinic seeking an abortion, the clinic is not required by AL law to notify parents.

Parents are only notified [by the minor] when the minor presents the consent form for signature. A parent is not entitled to any information beyond the form itself.

A clinic/hospital is required by AL law to disclose a rape to the police -- not the parents. Medical confidentiality prohibits clinic/hospital disclosure of rape to parents.
