  • the banana egg and cinnamon fried in butter fritter its just delicious when i eat this i dont even miss flour foods. my back hurts to bad to exersize and i still have lost some weight. funny, my meat intake has not increased at all.

  • maybe I'm just too much of a skeptic, but I fail to see why people need sweet, snacky things like "paleo cupcakes" or "paleo pancakes." candy cigarettes, if you ask me.

on a lighter note, the recipe book is a great idea, and I hope you see a lot of success with it. I am loving seeing paleo become so mainstream. now if only the US government could notice this boom in popularity and these real world results, and give the rest of the country a new food pyramid.

  • @nuketheunicorns Not everyone has a sweet tooth, but a paleo friendly sweet will always be better than the alternative in modern sugary food. They should still be kept to a minimum though :)

I can't agree more that an update to the food pyramid is necessary, unfortunately I don't see that happening anytime soon - but with the strong momentum of personal success stories people have with the paleo diet I am sure more & more people will continue to jump on-board!

  • @paleodiet - fair enough, I can agree with that! I used to try to find paleo versions of neolithic foods, but as I stayed on paleo, I found myself craving them less and less, and now I don't want them at all. I suppose paleo-friendly substitutes of sweets and snacks could play a role in this weaning process for others :)

I think these individual success stories say so much for the movement. I love reading them and seeing the great things people have had happen to them.

  • @nuketheunicorns Absolutely! They are also great for paleo friendly birthdays and other special occasions. But I believe similar to your experience, it is common that the longer people stay paleo the less they crave neolithic foods, such as sweets and high-carb meals.

  • @paleodiet if everyone ate paelo food the store would run out with the first 200 shoppers, only one out of twenty could eat and ony the super rich could aford it if we had to compete for the food. just consider your self lucky
