  • *sigh* I miss being 14 years old... This was my reality back then.

  • She's hot!

  • love the music, and i respect her for being a singer...there aren't many female singers in this kind of genera anymore.

  • Amazing band and amazing song! :D It is a pity that there is not any more! :/

  • everybody talkin shit only music i listen to is rap n for some reason i like this who gives a fuck what genre they are?

  • @HammerOfPink you think your young? Im 15!

  • THIS IS A STAPLE BAND OF THE GOTH CULTURE AND THE MUSIC IDOITS!!!!!

basically the babydoll goth culture....look it up!!!!

  • Marilyn manson! Best Gothis Artist of all time!!!!

  • @xTarasovax I hope that was sarcasm...

  • @DoomOkkultaNaglfar why would i be sarcastic? he is a legend in the goth industry. you underground cunts

  • @xTarasovax mm isnt even goth you asshole, it's more of industrial rock/metal with glam influences... what do u see goth in him? he's nothing more than a money maker...

  • saudações concorcodo switchblade e uma otima e perfeita banda essa vocalista e uma grande diva do movimento gotico......

  • just found this through a friend! too cool 4 words!

  • Switchblade Symphony has totally changed the way I view music. I <3 this band the most, and have all their albums, truly works of art! I hope they come back :(

  • some kids classify bands like marilynmanson or evanescence as Goth NO PEOPLE THEY ARE NOT GOTH!You can't jump into a style and lifestyle unless you know what it's about and how it came into existence so all you lil kids and teenagers need to do your homework and listen to the Goth music of the past .Don't sit there and spread makeup on your faces and say ok i'm Goth NO you need to use your brains and learn what that lifestyle trully is about .

  • @TheGotheena1

You're 100 percent right. I'm one of the young ones (20 yrs old) who learned about the entire subculture after being exposed to it after going to a goth nightclub. It turns out I enjoy the old school stuff a lot more than the crunchy industrial they played, and I didn't call myself a goth until I realized I was one when I found myself at all these events, and listening to this kind of music. But of course l'm not JUST goth but lots of things and ultimately myself x3

  • goth music isn't about showing your body dancing around like a floosey or cursing in lyrics it is about being intelligent on what subject you choose to singabout and unlike the mindless music artists of today Goth bands would do their own music write their own music.it could be faster it could be slow and poetic possibly romantic .Goth music has many sounds.

  • @TheGotheena1 That's the spirit my friend! \m/

  • My former band and I got to open for them once, I loved this band!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG :3

  • growl bands?? hahaha. Translate as: shitknobs who most of the time CANNOT sing worth the shit up their ass. Perhaps more fibre, and they wouldnt be so growly.....hahaha....fuckers.

  • @HeathenSaxon agree with your comments. I absolutely hate people who attempt to label stuff "emo" which was made two decades before the term existed in common useage. as for growl bands, me and my friends used to call it cookie monster vocals ^_^

  • for the record, and this goes out to the bitchfart fuckwad wankers, this music is NOT fuckin faggot EMO. Not even CLOSE. EMO is monkey piss. This is TRUE darkwave.. If you dont fuckin understand that, then dont fuckin listen to it. Go stand in a fuckin elevator and listen to marilyn manson. hahaha. fuckers.

  • excellent vid...the best goth sound of the 90's. Today sucks the big cock.

  • Just so you all know, Evanescence is NOT a Gothic Metal band. They are an Alternative Rock band. Seriously, guys, learn your genres.

  • is it me or Jeanette from vampire the masquerade is based upon her?

  • Okay, if you're not into goth metal, what the hell are you doing commenting?

  • @TheRealColBosch And if you mention Evanescence - who is, I'll remind you all, a former Christian band that sold out - that you're just wrong.

  • you wouldn't even have bands like evanescence if you didn't have The origenal Goth music of the late 70's early 80's .btw evanescence is not Goth .this band was an old Goth band but they eventually broke up .

  • i love this band!!you some hot ass beatches!

  • i love this band!!!!!

  • There is much evidence that this video may have been inspired by Carnival of Souls, no?

    Love it~

  • ohhh come on folks...always the same discussions about music!good music is good music!99% of the people are offended by GOTH-music because it´s music to USE your brain.and if people can´t understand, they say it´s shit.and if you going back in the GOTH-history you would NOT find one song with the fu** word in their lyrics.so it´s better for the people to listen to some senseless&useless shit from rihanna, lady gaga&Co.and WE are living in a world with senseless shit like facebook,mtv,i-phone,etc.

  • great comment....but i'll go out on a limb and say "goth" is the most overlooked, most underrated, most underappreciated genre of modern music. such beautiful voices, poetry, and instrumentation have come across from that relatively unkown sphere - peter murphy immediately comes to mind.

and you're right - to something seemingly so strange, most people will right away take the low road and say "its crap...next?".

  • @TheSuendenfall uhh i don't understand the point of this post or why you are comparing apples and oranges or why you are claiming superiority over someone based on the music you listen to

  • @TheSuendenfall

quote: if you going back in the GOTH-history you would NOT find one song with the fu** word in their lyrics.

    >Apart from the line 'fuck me and marry me young' from 'Driven like the Snow' from the Sister's seminal Floodland album of 1987....

  • its good

  • Let's not squabble over timelines, the pioneers of goth like Bauhaus and Siouxsie paved the way, but can you really argue whether this is good goth or not?

  • i love those bitches!!!!!

  • Bauhaus is real Goth, this isn't bad either. You guys had to be there. To each there own. If it is top 40 it is bad. Just as long as I'm not forced to watch MTV.

  • LMFAO "90'S goth is old Goth" Then wtf is 1976-79 Goth Pre-historic? O_O

  • @syderwarp haha I was just thinking as I read the comments: "What about Sisters of Mercy"? Love Goth of all types.

  • @Aengar i was thinking the same thing

  • God dam she's so hot .. and such a deep groovy beat. Top 10 song all time. BTW: Bella Lagosi's Dead is another fab Bauhaus toon.

  • 48 persons hates clown.. yay

  • Bkn el tema siempre lo escucho en los carretes.. he visto comentarios donde critican a evanescence .... esta bien :D se creen goticos y son al peo los weones

  • Comment removed

  • I'm 16 and love old school..I believe that I was born in the wrong time at the wrong time....yeah I'm weird and crazy, so what? I just found this song and already like it!

  • I wonder how well she gives head is the only thing that was running through my head

  • yeeeah. Evanescence isnt goth. They wish they were. But don't have the balls for it.

  • new poem The moon have cried Upon her relinquished breath Her curls cradled by the mist As death waits next to her Stars soaked in blood Shows the path to her ghost Through rotten flash A dead paradise resurrects Her faith is burning Like a candle savaged by the forest’s wind
  • Genre pussys will forment in hell for evermore...hahahahhaha

  • I must have taken a wrong turn, now Im gonna have nightmares for the rest of my life

  • @Krautattack0311 oh nooo! :P they are an amazing band though! you just have to get used to the goth/dark-wave sound to really appreciate it. :)

  • @Krautattack0311 oh noooo! :P they are an amazing band though! you just have to get used to more goth/dark-wave sounds to really appreciate it. :)

  • @MCRhasAFireInside I was looking through some of it, I can appreciate it. Chicks are creepy though...kinda cool:)

  • @Krautattack0311 thats cool! check out my channel! i have lots of good goth bands (and punk, alternative, emo (yes emo!!! :P) etc.) i'm sure you'd like at least a couple of the bands in my playlists :)

  • This is dark-wave.

  • ★ sexy love ♥

  • This is in the qween of the damded

  • diva destruction is good and razorblade kisses too !

  • i am so hypnotized by this song and video. this band rules!!!!!!!!!!!

  • damn i remember seeing them in LA back in '99.

  • I am scared

  • =) AMAZING IS SWITCHABLE SYMPHONYS IS GOTHIC BRILLANT

  • @616Metalprincess616: Evanescence and their ilk are not goth. tut. There are bands like these around today, try RazorBladeKisses, Helalyn Flowers amongst others. As for the 90's sound, for me Switchblade were a one-off, brilliant. Also try some Cocteau Twins, original 80's. :-)

  • @Sardu2011 You dont need to tell me that Evanescence isnt goth. I THOUGHT so. ;D

Ive checked out Cocteau Twins. They are great! Thanks.

  • I'd fuck one clown right now..

  • their sound is so unusual. i love it!!! her voice is haunting.

  • I´m really not a fan of gothic music...I thought....I´ve only knew the modern gothic bands and singers like evanescence and so on. But the old stuff is really great! I wish I would know more of such 90s Gothic artists.

  • @616Metalprincess616

well you could try bands like :

Mechanical Moth, Diva Destruction, Rosetta Stone(they are mostly bands like this one),

then...i dunno Elis, Mortal Love, you can even try Draconian but since it involves growling i am not sure you'll like it but growls are the part of gothic music. Tristania was once gothic metal...now they are mainstream...but only some of them are from the 90's. XD

or you can simply scroll throught other people's favorites hehe

  • @ISeeAnIdiot I agree Diva Destruction is great but Mechanical Moth is too much electro for my taste ;).

Rosetta Stone is nice, but I do not like male voices...so...xD..but I LOVE the voice from the singer of Cineme Strange. The only male voice I like.

I DONT like Gothic-Metal....i hate it...its an abortion of Gothic and Metal. They have nothing to do with Gothic-music. I think, Gothic and Metal dont fit togehter.

And these "Gothic-Metal" bitches copy gothic fashion very worse. My opinion

  • @616Metalprincess616

as far as i know...only copycats are fagoths and scene kids.

i'm a doom metal lover anyhow i am not really familiar with gothic metal.

few bands are good. but evanescence isn't one of them.

    i hate them.

  • @ISeeAnIdiot I agree, evanescence is as worse as sirenia, epica and all this other bands with annoying voices

  • @616Metalprincess616

mm i liked Sirenia but with their ex singer. this new one sucks.

epica became commercial and i only like the first album. other than that...bleh.

  • @ISeeAnIdiot I think the took the new one because she´s "hotter". It seems to me that many gothic metal bands only exists because boring, sappy metalguys like them.

  • @616Metalprincess616

ah. one was the best for me. afterwards fake ones came. -.-

  • @ISeeAnIdiot I am a "goth" i guess, but I also love some doom stuff. I think that people form the goth side crossover to doom moreso than doom does goth. In any event, this band was amazing. If you get a moment, check out our music, too - we are not doom, so keep the mind open. lmfao.

    Sam

  • @samfrompasingtime

doom is my favorite band. but that doesn't mean that i don't listen to goth or anything else. they just aren't my no.1 genre ^^

i'll check it out when i get home. i'm at my mom's work's computer.

  • @ISeeAnIdiot Very true, there are a handful of good Gothic/Doom/Whatever bands, like Paradise Lost, Anathema(old) , My Dying Bride, Moonspell, etc. ,but Evanescence does SUCK. Big time. They fail at both Goth and Metal.

  • @KilledByLifeItself

true. i simply cant listen to evanescence. i mean....she cant sing live, the songs have emo lyrics and the vids fail even more.

  • @ISeeAnIdiot hah hah

  • @ISeeAnIdiot

we call them mallgoths. Also evanescence isn't goth, but I love their old stuff. They were great, regardless of their genre.

  • @FutileExistence

i don't like anything from them...lee can't sing live, the videos are pure emo and lyrics...nope XD

  • @ISeeAnIdiot

    1) I've never seen them live, I don't care if I don't.

    2) You don't know what REAL emo is at all. It's a genre of music and has nothing to do with this.

    3) The music itself touches me as that's what music is about... passion and envoking emotions. Please don't act dumb. =)

  • @FutileExistence

oh my what are you gonna do? Cry infront of me?

bitch please. Emos are long gone. All we have today is : scene kids. yay.

the music touches you. what exactly? "you dumped me, i'll slit my wrists, make a vid about it and call it my immortal".

if you think emonescene has 10% of feelings of the bands i listen to...you are dead wrong. Here's a good song : Not Breathing from Draconian. oh wait it has growls. i don't think u can't handle that :)

  • @ISeeAnIdiot

You're being an idiot now. =/

Scene's are terrible fucking people in every aspect. Emo people don't exist, its a moronic sterotype that later adapted to scene twats.

No, I wouldn't do something stupid like that. Idiots who become dramatic and angsty are not what I'm talking about.

Impying that growling and "harder" music has more emotion. Yeah, you have a really mislead idea of what emotions are.

BTW, I listen to Black, death, doom, sludge metal and whatnot moron.

  • @FutileExistence

Oh no honey but i think u can't handle real growl bands :)

it's like saying Dani FIlth cant growl lol.

and it's always nice to see a fagoth defending emos. ah well.

now i g2g. i have some reviews to write.

  • @ISeeAnIdiot

Saw your profile, saw no reason to take a moronic fuck like you serious. You're a shitty troll, fuck off 4chan faggot.

  • @FutileExistence

    bawwww

  • @ISeeAnIdiot

predictable, be funny and creative at least. Something I don't expect a 4channer to do.

  • @FutileExistence

    bawwwww

  • @ISeeAnIdiot

    1) I haven't seen them live nor do I care to. When did you see them? After Fallen, they became bad.

    2) Emo is only a genre of music, you don't know what you are talking about. And its not what you think it is either.

    3) Their music touches me as that is what music is supposed to be about... passion for it and envoking emotions.

  • @616Metalprincess616 You should listen to the post-punk goth classics like Bauhaus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, Clan of Xymox (their early works), Christian Death, and, why not, The Cure. Those are essencials to understand gothic music, and most of them were big in 80's and early 90's (and still being awesome if you listen to them). For the Metal side, the first two albums of Theatre of Tragedy are a MUST.

  • @616Metalprincess616 you might want to check out "Mask" by Bauhaus. that is the album name, and it contains the good song "mask", and other good shit like "hollow hills". that is my favorite bauhaus album.

also, you might enjoy This Ascension. "Sever" is This Ascension's best album. so as not to confuse you, Bauhaus and This Ascension are from different eras (early to mid 1980s, and early 1990s, respectively).

  • @616Metalprincess616 Actually it's all about the 80's

  • There is nothing less goth than evanescence

  • This brings back so many memories...Saw them in a bar in Ohio as a teenager. I had watched this video back then, but somehow remember it differently, lol!

  • Still love this song/video. :) Just discovered it a few years ago. Watched it three times in a row the first time I found it. lol

  • love his band and these girls

  • I don't know what the hell she is talking about in this song. Not that it fucking matters...because its epic anyway lol

  • What will happen when i come down?.....i'll get more.

  • gotta love the 90's kinderwhore look. :D

    thanx Gidget Gein.

  • I would marry this woman seriously. :)

  • the vocals kinda remind me of "Man in the Box" by Alice in Chains. Good Stuff though.

  • @pistolpimp36 more like " Angry Chair " i reckon....

  • @pistolpimp36 You're right, they're copying Alice In Chains here.

  • @Sabohaque yeah , that's definitely what I heard on this song but I'm sure they have way better stuff. I just looked them up today because a friend at work has been recommending different bands. Another really great chick group I would higly recommend is Vivian Girls and their album "everything goes wrong" . I saw them live a few days ago at the echo in Los Angeles and they kicked ass to say the least .Oh and they did an adolescents cover o"f amoeba". A vid is up already of that cover.

  • @pistolpimp36 Note I said "here." Switchblade Symphony is fucking amazing. And I've never heard an album by Vivian Girls so I'll definitely check them out.

  • gorgeous sound

  • Her and my ex look exactly alike!

  • @MissMariJaine stop thinking about your ex :p

  • So Cool !!!

  • I love Clowns! I'd fuck one

  • new poem Undress the star Like a razor caresses a vein Your screams fill the air Like a leaf shaken by the wind Fresh smell of blood Fresh lips unfed Your arms turning red like a sunset Their lips shaped like a raven diving into the sky Their rage tamed and dressed By your scar
  • Harley Quinn!

  • Just 1:00 min into the song and i think I would Die for this band!!!!

  • This is a great song and an awesome video, but do we REALLY need tonsil shots? :p

  • @DarthVil

I'm surprised you could see her tonsils past that industrial-piercing bar that she stuck in her tongue XD

  • @StarlitNox I'm giving them the credit due for their efforts at a tonsil shot, none the less.

  • they are not together any more but Tina now has a band called Small Halo, but love switchblade sooooo much wish they were still together but Tina still rocks

  • they are not together any more but Tina now has a band called Small Halo, but love switchblade sooooo much

  • What are they doing now? Susan Wallace doesn't have a Wiki page, they were so great.

  • Holey shit! Why have i never herd this before!? Eargasm!

  • two little princesses dancing in a row

two little princesses dancing on their toes

where the light will take them they will never know

two little princesses dancing in a row

  • good

  • killforfiend are you smoking crack? theres no operatic notes here

  • @catkong7 the whole middle is opera based

  • My home girls... from SF California!!!

  • Song totally reminds me of something I'd want sung to a tweaker friend of mine.

Kind of wonder if that was the whole point. LOL

    You ladies rock :)

  • LOVE the percussion :D a thousand grins

  • NICE! ;-) ~PLAY loud, DANCE hard!..ENJOY! Greetings and cheeeers from Los Angeles, California! .--. --- .-. -

  • i think i'm in love!

  • guy at 0:13 is cute!

  • Je me sens quelques fois comme cette chanson!

  • damn i completely forgot about this song i love these bitches tehy are the shit live too!

  • fucking DELICIOUS! long time fan

  • @nnniiiccckkkooo well to me it sounds like a toned down genitorturers ( i really haven't heard much from them though) I prefer the video rather than the song, I got nothing against switchblade symphony its just not my cup of tea.

  • @killforfiend Genitorturers NEVER had the talent to hit these opera ranges notes. NEVER.

  • @samfrompasingtime well I meant more of the musical instrumentation, but I do admit that the vocals are more achievable to good quality than the genitorturers nihilistic music experimentation.

  • Piercer fu*ked up her tongue piercing a little. x)

  • @amaranthex it looks ok to me. How did they mess it up? I have lusted after her for over a decade now. haha.

    Sam

  • Honestly this song and video aren't exactly goth, it's dark but I would say it's more rock with a tint of industrial

  • make up seems much more organized nowadays :D

  • Man that's Goth!

  • Pshcycobilly

    Fucking awesome

  • 36 people don't know what real music is.

  • One of their best songs, thanks for posting!

  • Oh, I forgot that this is seductive as all sin :)

  • Simple, hard and completely badass; describes this song. What the hell more do you want?

  • me, her and a locked room with a four poster bed .... :P

  • Oh god it's crazy Genny from Dark Shadow's...... The new world movie is coming /....... trust me they will get u...

  • this is such a great song, love the entire cd

  • Still one of my favorite bands ever. I wish they would do a reunion tour. Check out Tre Lux to see what Tina Root is up to these days. I swear her back then and I could be evil twins!

  • I first heard this song on one of Julia Stiles first movies "Wicked." This song is pretty awesome...in fact it's the shit!

  • @christopherneil21 your first and second name are the same as my bros. funny

    Sam

  • I love this song! Her voice is awesome! ^.^

  • I cant get over how sexy the vocalist is

  • i love this song but i hate clowns

  • @drosike ai desculpe nao deveria nem escutar a musica, perfeito o clipe ea musica!!!

  • i love this song

  • This has to be one of the best, most well delivered vocal performances in music history and since no many people know of it that also makes it one of the most under rated as well.

Check out BREAK ME on our site.

    Sam

  • cool shit

  • I am just finding out about this band now. I'm always looking for new bands, and I found out about Emilie Autumn this summer. That isn't how I came across this stuff. I haven't listened to this band enough to properly judge it. I always give bands time to grow on me (I like it, but I might like it more after awhile). I tend to listen to music in the background. Emilie Autumn is exceptional if you take the time to listen to the lyrics.

  • not to bad, I prefer not to understand the video, I prefer the music

  • <3 <3 <3

  • Best song ever

  • Personally I prefer underground/independent/obscure music over other stuff. I don't care if that sound elitist or not. Although the underground is becoming a little more well known, which isn't nesscairly a bad thing.
