@ChiStriker Yes, I completely agree. The application is done in one movement coordinated with the step to the side then striking/capturing/diverting whatever is coming your way followed up with the other palm strike using the twist of the waist for power. The arm will NEVER be held out like this, but for demo it illustrates the technique.
@ChiStriker Agreed. This is why guards are so important. They're not just protection; they let you read intentions. Very few people are smart enough to do a feint that goes past the guard. Anything that stays outside the guard is a feint (or a real attack if they're really stupid). Anything that comes past it is for real.
Nice apps. Of course in real life situation the movements wouldn't be as wide or pretty, they would be direct and efficient according to the opponents posture.
fighting techniques like these are much more gracful then thos that we see in MMA pride and UFC i would like to see someone like this in the UFC and see what would happen after they conditioned their body properly

@GongFuey Yea thats why its nice if you can do the technique at full speed but with control by using sparring gloves or other protection
ChiStriker 1 year ago
@ChiStriker that's a good idea, when I get time I will video the palm strike at full speed with protective gear.

Dont' be confused that these technigues aren't very dangerous. They are executed with grace in training but devasting power when used in a fight.
