Today on 'lessons in real life', we will clarify the difference between a solder and a hunter. Solders are trained to fight and defeat other armed forces, while hunters are made to find helpless animals and kill them by surprise. so by definition alone, in a fair face to face fight (which is what this show involves) a solder should always beat a hunter.

@lmdelirium So what about all those elves who got powned by orcs (The Two Towers)? There were only two elves who displayed any talent with a blade: Legoland and that other fruity guy that got powned.

If you're basing your argument off of the LOTR mythos, and I'm really bothered that I am arguing this point, the orcs (though stronger) would be less skilled than a Roman Soldier/General who fought in the time of Juilus Caesar. Ergo, Elf<Orc<Roman Commander, when based on Lord of the Rings.

@PaxIesus I don't want to get in the middle of this, but let's just clarify. There's a difference between immortality and invulnerability. For example, if left alone and all its nutritional needs were met, a tree could potentially live forever, but if it lacked for water or sun, or was struck down by an enemy, it would die. The Elven Huntress is the same. There is no predetermined statistical limit to her number of years, but that doesn't mean some ridiculously handsome Roman can't kill her.

On the one hand, the Roman legionnaire has armor and a giant shield, which would theoretically neutralize most of the elven huntress' attacks depending on where he's attacked. On the other hand, his primary weapon, the gladius, is short, slow, and weak by most other warriors' standards, and he's used to fighting in a straight line. The elven huntress is adept at attacking from just about any range and any angle, but she has no armor. I say that this fight could go either way.

@h0m3st4r vote Elven Huntress, there's more than meets the eye with her :-) plus she's quicker and more agile than a Roman Soldier. Take a good look at her bow, it's not just a typical bow. I think she could easily take him down ;-)
