  • tesla forwarding is pretty weird, because i was using tesla to protect everything but when it connects together, it wont be very usable....

  • @banderi002 Those Prism Towers belong to different houses (which are allied). PrismForwarding.ToAllies tag will allow for support between allied defenses.

  • @banderi002 There are several new tags to modify support weapon's behavior (for example. how many can support a single tower, how far can such tower be etc.) You'll just have to find out yourself when Ares is released. After all - it's all up to modders how new logics will be used. ;)

    The paths aren't random. The code behind the forwarding feature takes, at each backward link, the closest available towers. After that, the system moves to the next backward link and looks for further towers to enlist.

    The number of towers to get at each link in the chain, the number of backward links, the minimum and maximum range of each link, the total number of towers in the network: all these can be specified by the modder.

  • Cool. But what was good about RA2 is that each side was unique not only in structures and units but structure and unit abilities. What you're doing is giving each side incredibly similar stuff, taking the fun and uniqueness out of each. You may view this as 'balance', but giving each side units that look different but essentially do the same is the worst and laziest way to balance new additions.

  • @ndr001 No. This video is for demonstration purpose only - it shows that Prism Forwarding logic can be used for customizable tesla bolts and rad beams. This won't be available in Mental Omega 3.0 itself.
