"I'm just a sick clown and so is everybody else". I really like this line that Kerouac wrote here and the way that Jay Farrar delivers it. Just seen Jay day the Woody 100 night at Celtic Connections and it is sure that he has great delivery of other peoples songs/lyrics. You only have to listen to Uncle Tupelos version of Moonshiner to hear this.
I get to see them at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival on January 29th, but I'm not familiar with Jay Farrar... so I am going to do my research so I know what to expect. :)
@drouo Try these bands Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, and Jay by himself. He is more underated than Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, who was his band mate in Uncle Tupelo. Jay is very talented and an awesome lyracist.
Luckily I'm friends with my local record store owner, and he told me about this a week before it came out. Haha. This album was his number 1 out of 20. =P. It really is a great album.

I just discovered this album, and it's very much changed my perceptions of certain things.
