they would have been so much better if richard pryor and nuclear man and richard lester haden't been involved. richard donner should have been for all four superman films. if only they hadent fired him!
dude, i totally agree! richard donner understands superman better than any of the other directors that did the sequels. the interesting thing about superman IV is that if it weren't for the really low budget, they would have actually had an evil superman instead of nuclear man, kind of like in superman III, but with a bigger role
@batmanvsalien of course. it was richard donner's project he knew so well. if he had stayed all 4 SUPERMAN movies would have been megahits like star wars , indiana jones, etc. also if john williams had done the tracks each movie would have gotten better & better. i've read that there are more unreleased tracks locked in the vault. the salkinds & lester ruined everything. how could they turn SUPERMAN into a funny character ?
Superman 3 is STILL one of the most entertaining comic-book adaptation films around! I absolutely LOVE IT. Richard Pryor is BRILLIANT, the story is BRILLIANT, The love interest (LANA LANE) is soooo HOT!, etc, etc. It's a classic that can stand toe-to-toe with ANY of the recently made films like Spiderman 3 (HUH!), HELLBOY (LAME!), HULK (BORING), NEW SUPERMAN (YEAH RIGHT!). People should watch this AGAIN & appreciate it for what it is (GREAT!!) IMHO
that's fair. i agree that even though richard pryor doesn't quite belong in a superman film, he was still really funny. plus, this movie does have the clark vs. superman fight which was badass (and one of my favorite superman moments in all of the films).
I couldn't agree more! The starting sequence ( the chain of funny events with the wind-up penguins), the bit when the drunk Richard Pryor plays havoc with the city while trying to hack it the Vulcan weather satellite (my favourite part - the guy getting free cash from the ATM!) & Good Superman vs Evil Superman - ALL comic book stuff. But stuff that I remember enjoying watching as a kid. I used to press "rewind" on the vcr and watch parts over & over. (sigh) Those were the days.
Damn they got hit by an F-5.

why always try to put on scene, cubans, mexican, bolivians or peruvians (different than colombian accent and race) for colombian representative?

I forgot how "Superman III" was truly God-awful, with or without Richard Pryor.
