I'm impressed that Zandri did actually learn how to sing. He's not terrible. It's a shame he showed such a lack of class instead of making a name for himself with his real voice.

I can only imagine Hooker's wife listening to him rant for hours about this, then watching as he flies in his composer buddy and records this "press conference" in 3 languages, complete with fake camera flashes, in the living room. If Zandri can't lipsynch without Hooker's permission (and I doubt that Hooker has any legal say) then this is something that should be taken up in court, not on YouTube. Hooker is still great today. Just listen to his track "Change your mind" in the 80's club mix version. He gives all the former Den Harrow fans what they really want. Totally new songs...but with the familiar voice of the 80's. By the way: I liked Hooker already in the 80's when he sang a song called "Looking for love". And Zandri? He looks like a wannabe body building mafiosi but he's not even man enough to admit the truth. What a "BAD BOY"!

It is clear as a bell the Tom Hooker sang those songs. What a shame it has had to come to this public mud flinging. I'm sure it is painful for Stefano Zandri to be exposed as not being the real singer on those hits, but that fact has been a public secret for years. The way Zandri has been responding recently paints a pretty sad picture of the man. Tom Hooker is handling it with a lot more class. I hope he can put this sorry business behind him soon and go on with his life.

The SAIFAM record company released new masters with Tom Hooker's voice again under the name Den Harrow without a contract and this is also illegal. I am amused that anyone really cares. A few years ago Tom Hooker was saying how he was done with italo and that part of his life was over in 1994 or whatever.
All italo is in some way fake anyway- fake names, multiple pseudonyms, 100% artificial brand images, synthesized sounds (and I like that). And in keeping with italo, this whole setup seems very fake. The water bottles, flashes going off, a SERIOUS ITALO PRESS CONFERENCE!

Tom Hooker is the real talent here (both singer and as song writer) of these songs - but "Den Harrow" made the songs sell (and back in the 80's) and Mr Hooker made lots of money from music sales, made possible using Den Harrows youthful image.

I know it's pretty common to use a "dummy" singer on most Italo disco music. Time records in particular Flea and Asia Records uses a lot of side singers.
I believe Tom Hooker should seek legal actions (if he hasn't done so already). This is the only way to put a STOP to all this. He has a credible witness- the composer!!!

I am no Harrow or Hooker supporter, but like the 80's music itself, and think that what we've seen 'till now is shameful... what really comes out of this story is Hooker wanting to sing "Future brain" with his real name, and not allowing Harrow to use the old recordings with his voice, but he should have though earlier about this: complaining now, after he took money for lending his voice, is unprofessional and quite sad.

I am amused that anyone really cares. A few years ago Tom Hooker was saying how he was done with italo and that part of his life was over in 1994 or whatever.
All italo is in some way fake anyway- fake names, multiple pseudonyms, 100% artificial brand images, synthesized sounds (and I like that). And in keeping with italo, this whole setup seems very fake. The water bottles, flashes going off, a SERIOUS ITALO PRESS CONFERENCE!

Tom Hooker is the real talent here (both singer and as song writer) of these songs - but "Den Harrow" made the songs sell (and back in the 80's) and Mr Hooker made lots of money from music sales, made possible using Den Harrows youthful image.
Anyway, sad that Den Harrow (the fake singer) is such an ass. :)

@DoryForever That is true. I read an interview Hooker did & he said that he's happy now that he's married with children in America & he's a photographic artist now. What this was about was not Hooker wanting 2 sing the Den Harrow songs, which he has no interest 2, but the fact that Stefano Zandri has abused his privileges 2 use Hooker's vocals in concerts because Zandri publicly insulted & threatened Hooker & his family instead of allowing Hooker 2 tell people that Zandri was not the real singer

Oh wow...this is really shocking to me. I have no idea this was going on. I'm totally in awe right now. I have always been a fan of Den Harrow and Tom Hooker. I know it's pretty common to use a "dummy" singer on most Italo disco music. Time records in particular Flea and Asia Records uses a lot of side singers.
I believe Tom Hooker should seek legal actions (if he hasn't done so already). This is the only way to put a STOP to all this. He has a credible witness- the composer!!!

I am no Harrow or Hooker supporter, but like the 80's music itself, and think that what we've seen 'till now is shameful... what really comes out of this story is Hooker wanting to sing "Future brain" with his real name, and not allowing Harrow to use the old recordings with his voice, but he should have though earlier about this: complaining now, after he took money for lending his voice, is unprofessional and quite sad.

Again, I found these video really interesting.At least we were able to know the other side of the story.I dind't see Tom Hooker for years,"Looking for love" was one of my favorite hits at that time and I've never seen the producer M.Chieregato who I believe is one of the best italian dance music producers.I'm really glad all this happened!

@phantomowner The point of my messages was that, not only Zandri was responsible for this fraud, but Hooker as well, and most of all, Chieregato and the producers. They all conspired against the listeners and buyers of the "Den Harrow" albums. If you really don't understand my point, its a problem with your intelligence, not mine. All these guys earned a lot of money back then, by offering us a non genuine product. There is absolutelly no reason for Hooker to appear now and tell all of these.

Real fans of Italo music already knew what Tom's saying. Of course he's the real singer. Everybody can hear that! Like he sang ELASTIC BAND, CHICCO SECCI PROJECT and LOU SERN. I have no problem with the fake Den, but he must not claim it's his voice. I agreee with Chieregato: 'Den' must be thankful to Tom! By the way: Mad Desire was originally sung by Silvio 'Silver' Pozzoli.

They should have apologised instead of claiming that this Zandri type threatens them (they can just visit the nearest police station). When I found out that Den Harrow wasnt real (and I have all of his albums), I got so angry I almost destroyed them. This is not news for me. I've always known the true story, and can't really understand those people who thought that the model actually could sing! Fine; now everyone can understand better what's going on; though the Tom Hooker, Den Harrow and Baby Records story took place in Italy, most of the actual fans of Italodisco don't speak or understand italian language, but mostly english. Thanks for this new clip.
