when your heart and mind are truly united [you'll know when you don't turn into a shouting bully to your kids and then return to being a soft spoken "gentle" person, when speaking from your idea-mind] your plan may get the attention you want it to get. You gave john mccain more loving attention than you gave your kids! Loving attention is ALWAYS the right choice, including ~ ESPECIALLY ~ when disciplining children. And, yes, I raised two wonderful children, now 34 & 29.

Yes. Having raised 3 generations of childred 46 and 44; and 24 and 14, and now 7 and 4. What I've learned is MaCain is NOW one of our children, as is Barack. The choice in the Milton classic, "Paradise Lost," is 'to be' a gentle soft spoken Prince in Hell? Or a servant, with a commanding voice in Heaven?

And so this too is your choice? The difficult part is to comprehend why the obvious choice, is the correct one; and why and to next teach this to others willing to learn and grow.

The choice is to be a loving voice w/ all beings, no matter how aberrant or unwelcome their behavior. My living spiritual teacher shows us all, by example, the asana of love in ALL circumstances of relationship. It's indescribably remarkable...whether he is SHOUTING, w/ Father Force, or speaking softly, with Mother Force, one feels overwhelmed by/with His Love, while receiving instruction from Him. I don't compare you to him. Just pointing out that we all have so much more to learn, w/ humility.

For McCain to come on the stage and not denounce such a statement totally shocked me. I thought he was better than that but from what I've heard he didnt want a MLK day in his state.
