Raticate can really destroy everything if you can make it work. I used moves like: Hyper Fang, Shadow ball, Super Fang, and Strength. I destroyed Lance's Dragonite while only taking about half of my health. So you actually wouldn't regret adding a Rattata to your team. :)

W.T.F? It said pidgey had an 255/255 catch rate and I tried a pokeball on it and it didn't work! Must be a glitch of some sort. Looks like FireRed and LeafGreen still took a bit of Missingno and his minions with it.

@CascadusLegend You moron. That doesn't mean you catch it 100% of the time. What it means is you have a greater chance though. There's a formula that is calculated when you throw a pokeball.

I'm thinking of starting a new file on LeafGreen. The team I'm planning on using is Charizard (Flamethrower/Fly/Steel Wing/Dragon Claw), Raichu (TBolt/Dig/Brick Break/Strength), Nidoqueen (Surf/Dig/Shadow Ball/Sludge Bomb), Clefable (Tbolt/Ice Beam/Shadow Ball/Flamethrower), Starmie (Surf/Psychic/Ice Beam/TBolt) and Hitmonlee (Brick Break/Mega Kick/Rock Slide/Earthquake).

I almost always picked Charmander since Charizard is my favourite Pokemon and because there are very few good fire types outside of the fire starter. I like Bulbasaur though and I usually catch Pidgey (then again I tried to catch every Pokemon I found). I wonder if you picked Charmander which do you catch to face Brock with, Mankey, Caterpie (Butterfree) or Nidoran (can learn fighting moves).
