Fantastic take everywhere camera. Standout features are (i) excellent image detail (ii) tremendous auto white balance, best appreciated on a calibrated monitor (iii) very easy to use (iv) highly portable and unobtrusive. If the camera is held super steady, the pictures can be sharp too. At the highest quality settings, the files allow ...

the 100 has a slightly larger screen and a slightly better zoom and has anti-shake built in which the 10 does not. That is about it. If you just want a compact camera the F10 is what you want but if you want compact that will involve more movement video's the F100 is better.
hey buddy i need some info here please, some cameras have "lasers" that calculate the distance to focus in dark environments. i need to know if that "light" near the EX-FC100 flash is that "laser"
the ex-fh20 features such a "laser", as you call it. looking at the ex-fc100, i'd say yes. but i'm not sure... better seek professionel advice, that'll do.
ok mate, thanks a lot! this is the most complete digital camera at the moment from features to design, i just needed to know that cause i take a lot of shots in night clubs ;) thanks
I have the camera, but the manual is the worst I've ever seen--22 pages in partial English. Some features are never mentioned. This video helps, but some of the features the reviewer says he'll talk about more later and then never does. Also, he is not clear about what button he pushes to access the 210 fps setting: Ive played this repeatedly and cant see any buttons being pushed. Anyway, this is an amazing camera. The trick is finding out how to use it. Startup time is about 1.5 seconds.
Agreed about the manual. Couldn't have written a worser one myself. The CD offers some additional PDF's, explaining the more advanced options, but again, very badly written and non informative.
the lag setting doesn't make any sense, at least not in the way you described it. you said you could set it to take the picture milliseconds before you press the button. how does that work? does the camera read your mind and know before you press the button? lol
Normaly technology like this keeps recording, and keeps the last few pictures in memory. If you do not press the button, then the pictures is discarded - and if you press the button, the image is moved from the internal memory to the memory card.
I do not know this camera, but I think its the same.

So does the 1000fps only record in a 224 x 64 video format? That is insanely low quality video. It can't do 720 or 1080 at 1000fps?

Is there any difference between the F10 or F100 other than Zoom?
Is the F100 Better? anyone?
