I heard only 10% of the donated money even gets there. I also heard the majority goes to Corporate accounts, Religious mission groups and Advertisement.

I would like to host a few people in Japan that are in the streets because the shelters are full. I called the Japanese Embassy & U.S. Embassy & just get stone walled and the run-around. Why don’t you guys have a database for people willing to host people from Japan? I mean it’s simple with all the money people donate. I will help directly, but I am not sending money into Outer space. I am willing to pay for the Airfare, just find the people, get them a Passport, put them on the plane

@thomodachi You actually have the numbers flipped: up to 90% goes to help those affected by disasters directly through our services and the rest goes to behind the scenes work that the Red Cross does to be ready and able to support future disasters.
