What's a Shabbos, minhags and shtremeils?

"Shabbos" is the holy Sabbath day, on Saturday. Ordinary work is forbidden. It's a day of relaxation and prayer. "Minhag" is a custom. Some Jews wear one kind of hat, others a completely different one.

A "Shtreimel" is one of those types of hats. It was originally worn in Eastern Europe and is made of fur. The hat is worn only with holiday and Sabbath clothes and is a symbol of belonging to the group and being an adult.

You seem to be into judaism, i also was for a long time, i was baal tshuva from around 2003 til now, but after so many years i just gave up. like i dont even believe in it anymore, im wondering what keeps you motivated? isnt it like overwhelming or you? i have found the teshuva experience fun at first, but in the long run way toooo hard to keep up. what do u think?

Was there any part of your experience that you miss? Something you particularly enjoyed? G-d wants you to enjoy the world he has given you. Doing something Jewish that you enjoy is a way of offering thanks to G-d. Maybe buying a challah? Or taking a walk on Shabbos.
