I don't see why people think of Rocking and In the Army, they sould remember songs like Paper Plane, don't waste my time, roll over lay down and generally all the stuff from Ma Kellys Greasy Spoon to Blue For you.
What I wouldn't give to see a recording of this whole gig; and you don't want to know what I'd give to go back in time to be there in person! I wish people today thought of Quo as they are here - raw, heavy, and totally brilliant. Instead people remember Rockin' all over the World and the like.
Great stuff! I used to love Quo when I was growing up, this line-up was so good.
Sadly I think they never sounded the same after Coghlan and Lancaster left - with them they were a proper rock band, but it all sounded a bit tame and cabaret after they left.
If only they'd reform the classic Piledriver/Quo lineup.
if you like this and understand why it's so good , compared to what they do now , you should get over to the frantic four website ,where the original line up is celebrated . and panto quo ridiculed and rightly so ..
This is a fantastic performance. what a shame we cant all travel back in time. this is how quo should be remembered not the farce they are now. im sure if the quo mockers saw this video they would at least show them some respect. by the way has anyone noticed on the start of the 3rd verse of paper plane rossi almost forgets the lyrics mind you it was a new song at the time. thanks for uploading this. is any more of this concert footage available?

Just take a look at John at 7:43 , you can tell he was really into it and was really feeling it. He was their best drummer; or at least, the coolest one.

nobody loves quo more than me,but I just wish they'd stop fuckin around with beach boys songs and play the classics and play em right!get rid of the pop bassist and reform the old line up, and just do it right or just dont do it, they are just pandering to the 'magic am' crowd nowadays.
I can agree with you, but I think Francis and Rick are just a couple of aging Geezers who like to perform. If they were doing it for fame(which has long gone) I think they'd given up because they definitely have a fortune not to need to play.
