  • You are simply amazing,I am so glad

  • Congratulations, Phil. Wow! A hundred pounds in a few months. That's remarkable. I'm so glad to hear that you're mobility has increased and that you're able to get around and enjoy life more. I hope that you loose lots more by spring so that you'll feel like going out and making another cute shirtless guys in the park video. LOL I'm far away from New York, so I like seeing the park in spring. :)

  • I'm tardy watching this - it's been a rather busy time for me, but even late, I wanted to tell you how pleased I am for you. You made such a life affirming choice and clearly it's paying off. Congratulations - well done. Good luck with the cataract surgery - several people I know who have had it have done quite well and are most pleased with the results. The diabetes and bp improvements are spectacular. You will live to enjoy your 'golden' years! :)

  • Looking good Phil

  • Congratulations on your 102 pound loss! So good to hear that everything is getting better.

    Lauren

  • glad to hear that you are getting better........:-)

  • Way to go! I'd like to hear some about if your energy levels are coming back, sleeping better and what are you eating. I was not able to get my sleeve op in 2011 and my insurance changed in 2012. Co-pay now is about 2.5k -3k. Have to really think about that. But the change in your face is very very noiticeable. Take care...

  • Congratulations, and may you be around for many interesting years to come. :)

  • @abortedsoul Look who arose from the dead! It's been a long time. I hope you are well. I'd love to catch up sometime.

  • Congratulationson your weight loss :). You look great, and I'm so glad you're doing well. Mum sends her love ;)

  • @TheMouthonWheels Thanks and Hi to Mum.

  • Happy 33 years in the big apple. 102 pounds is pretty darn good in 4 months. Happy Birthday, I hope you break the two hundred mark. Keep us posted on that Phil. I'm counting the weeks till my VSG. I will now check out your firework video in Central Park. take care.

  • @cookielu46 I hope your surgery goes well. I think you will be very happy with the results. I know I am. Happy New Year.

  • Lookin' good!

  • @skeletonmom Thanks.

  • Congratulations on your progress, Phil! I can't even conceive losing 100 pounds...such a lot of weight (not dissing you or anything). ~2.2 pounds to a kilo, so about 46kg. Hope the actual consumption of food becomes more..palatable, I think is the word? I hear that certain foods can become quite difficult to digest, so hope that you get used to it all.

I hope I can lose "22 pounds" by mid year, that's a goal of mine, anyway. Enough of my babbling, take care good sir.

    Peace.

  • @logicaust I do well with most foods, except very rich (lots of sugar or fat). But I don't need to be eating them anyway. Thanks for dropping by. Happy New Year.

  • yay!

  • @Castaa Thanks :)

  • Thats great to hear Phil....Happy 2012!

  • @blondjocktx Thanks, and happy new year to you!

  • Congratulations! Love seeing the results on you!

  • @qiranger I was just commenting to Jo that you and she were there at the beginning. Hard to believe that I have come this far. Thanks for your constant support.

  • Incredible results! All my best to you!

  • @bonpain Thanks. Happy new year.

  • I'm happy to see your great progress Phil! You're kicking ass. Happy 2012!!

  • @TandEeesDad Kicking ass and losing ass at the same time.

  • There are lot's of Magoos out there... I have been ignoring my health and vices I'm sure they will get the upper hand in the not too distant future... My rocket scientist side at work... I hope your new year is the best ever Phil...

  • @PappyStu I was ignoring my health until my doctor started giving me referrals for undertakers. Things are much better now: I am still alive.

  • Happy new year !

  • @faunflynn Thanks and happy new year to you!

  • You're looking good, Phil!

  • @fehquig Thanks. I am feeling so much better too.

  • Happy New Year, Phil! Congratulations on the weight loss. I wish you a healthy and happy 2012. -Jim

  • @CountryComesToTown Thanks Jim. Happy New Year to you.

  • I'm go glad to see you in better health. Happy New Year!

  • @lthrdyke6 Thanks. I am so grateful for the progress and all of the support I am getting.

  • Happy New Year, very good to see you again. Congratulations on the weight loss, and continued good luck.

  • @donho1950 Thanks. I think it is going to be a good year.

  • Excellent News! YAY!

  • @girlpalooza Thanks!

  • Congratulations on your weight loss! Good luck with the cataract surgery.. sounds scary! >.<

  • @JustinTynne It is a little creepy having them poke around my eyeball, but I have spoken to others who have had the surgery and it is supposed to be quite uneventful. They also give you really good drugs so that you don't care :)

  • You look great. I was really excited when I saw your update in my subscriptions!

  • @therealeeeo Thanks. I am very grateful for your interest.

  • Congratulations.

  • @pixiepollen Thanks!

  • congrats. will be interesting to see how much thinner you get.

  • @tomfrankly I am hoping another hundred, which will put me close to 200 lbs. I haven't weight that in over 30 years.

  • Happy New Year!

  • @MadBadVoodo Thanks and Happy New Year to you!

  • We want to see pics

  • @AreYouSuprised I'm taking weekly pics for a time lapse video when I reach my goal. I have a ways to go before that. Send me pics of your body and I'll cut and paste my head on it. We'll call that wishful thinking.

  • Yaaay Phil! Best wishes to you for the coming year. (I love Maple Nut Goodies, by the way.)

  • @ddoyle11 It was hard for me to keep the maple nut goodies in check. Sweets and ice cream are easier to get down than regular food. I have to be careful about that.

  • glad to hear everything is going well for ya phil. I had a pretty undisciplined year and put on more weight than I care to admit but I now have a goal of looking good for my sisters wedding in october so, as of yesterday, Im back on the weight loss train.

  • @DJAngelusZero I'm glad to hear it. You made so much progress and inspired me. It makes a big difference in quality of life to have the weight off. Keep at it. If you need encouragement, drop me a line.

  • Great news Phil, you are an inspiration. Happy New Year!!

  • @BittyWoof Thanks. Happy New Year to you!

  • It's wonderful to hear that you're doing so well.

  • @5850terry Thanks. I am feeling so much better.

  • Well done!

  • @ikutsu2001 Thanks. I credit the surgeon some... but I still have to work at it.

  • Congrats on your weight loss and your health getting better...and FYI the hat suites you very well...

  • @DawndeeDALLAS Thanks. I like hats. They look better than that part of my head :)

  • Thank you for sharing the update. I was thinking of you the other day (it was positive, I assure you). How was the plane ride at the new weight? So great to here your mobility is coming back. Loosing mine has been frustrating.

  • @piebird042 The plane ride was more comfortable, especially getting in and out of the seat, but I still need a seat belt extension - just barely. I expect to fly again in the spring. By then I should be able to fly coach without an extension.

  • Good luck with the cataract surgery. I don't know how you do it, you are the only person I can listen to talk about themselves for more than one minute. Keep the great videos coming. God bless.

  • @mrdarcyme Thanks. I do go on about myself at length. If I'm not boring you, that makes me feel good.

  • I feel happy for you! ;) It's definitely a new life. This Xmas I had Arthur around to complete the family, he left today, I'm still on a tearful hangover.

Have to check those fireworks photos.

  • @f3xpgm I saw a couple of posts from Arthur in Portugal. I hope things change so that you can be together all the time.

  • @FantasticBabblings I hope!!! Very much. ;) Hugs.

  • How wonderful, to feel so much healthier must be beyond fabulous! Wishing you continued success in the New Year.

  • @hippygram It keeps getting better. Happy New Year to you!

  • I'm very proud of you Phil.

  • @buzzkc1 Thanks Buzz.

  • congrats on the weight lose .I'm glad your doing good and Happy new year:)

  • @nightladymagic Happy New Year to you, too.

  • Crongratulation Phil (I left the typo in because it sounds so cool) on your 100lb milestone. The world right now is experiencing a severe shortage of real-intentioned, charismatic, and genuine people. So how ever long and by whatever steps you can take to avoid your early departure, I'm sure I speak for everyone when we say it would be greatly appreciated. Have an incredible 2012. Alex

  • @MrVisions Thank you so much. You are very kind. I hope I stay around for a while. My insurance company (and I) are investing way too much for this to be a short life :)

  • I'm glad to hear this great news!

  • @soho2014 I wish I could have done it on my own, but I think the surgery has saved my life. At least extended it.

  • @FantasticBabblings whatever works.

  • Congratulations! You should be very proud of yourself. I did Times Square Brohaha from 1978-79. Those were the days when I could stand for hours on end and didn't need a bathroom close by. Happy New Year.

  • @Beachmama57 These days the cops have such tight crowd control I guess you can't get to a bathroom. I don't know how people do it. At least it was relatively warm last night.

  • Congratz on the weight loss - don't use a GPS to find the lost weight again! :-)

  • @jepsen1977 I never want to find it again. Good riddance!

  • HAPPY NEW YEAR, my friend!!

  • @Zipster08 Thank you, my dear. I hope to see you soon, and a very happy new year.

  • Congrats on all your success in 2011! May 2012 bring you more of all the good things you deserve.

  • @BoomerChick55 Thanks Boomer. I hope this year is better for all of us.

  • Happy New Year Phil! Congrats on the weigh loss and def get those eyeballs fixed, no sweat had both of mamas done this past summer she sees perfect now.

  • @oneiblind30 My brother had it done many years ago. My sister-in-law just a few weeks ago. The technique has improved so much I'm looking forward to it. I need to see all the cute guys in NY better.

  • You must be the only person i know to have lost weight over the Christmas period!

Well done Phil & glad you've reached that goal

Just wondering if your eye problem affects your photogrphy? :)

  • @andymooseman Fortunately it is my left eye with the problem. I use my right eye to look through the viewfinder so it isn't affected. The strain does make both my eyes more tired later in the day. I find it hard to spend much time on the computer at night. Getting it fixed will make that much better.

  • Congratulations! I hope all your wishes come true in 2012 and you lose at least the additional 100 pounds! Looking forward to seeing the fireworks!!

  • @bluebluesdancer Thanks. I think the goal is achievable. The fireworks video is rendering as I type. Should be up in a couple of hours.

  • Congrats!!! You look fedorable!

  • @GCNC72 A new word for the new year! Thanks, Gary.

  • Incredulous...

  • @ABombs1 Incroyable!

  • @FantasticBabblings Bombastic!

  • Congratulations Phil and you look wonderful and very sharp with the fedora! I bet it was nice to go home for Christmas to family and friends. I wish you all the best for the New Year and continued good health! xo

  • @wildheart5 Thanks. I need some new hats. Fortunately my head is still fat, so the old ones still fit :)

  • If you look THIS good after being up till that ridiculous hour, what you must look like rested! So very, very happy for you Phil. So grateful to see you Vlog. Lots of good news for the New Year. HAPPY NEW YEAR, dear one.

  • @AuntieVeraCharles50 Sometimes I think I look better tired. World weary, to quote Mr. Coward. It's been so long since I've been truly rested I'm not sure what that looks (or feels) like anymore.

  • congrats on your 100lbs ! It is truly amazing! WTG!! Regards, DianeNY

  • @msdw59 Thanks Diane. I'm very happy about it.

  • my son has a hat much like that.

    i love it

    xoexo

  • @edenbainbridge Thanks. He has good taste :)

  • All the best for 2012!

  • @TheWisemonkey8 Thanks, and good wishes to you for the coming year.
