Yeah, none of this has anything to do with the actual 11th century text that is Beowulf. There is no woman who seduces him, there is no "temptation" like at 0:33. The real tale is all about Beowulf's grapple with his own pride and need for vengeance and such. They put in the sexy Angelina Jolie as fanservice.

@19andoverlol To be fair, in the original work, there is no personal conflict involved: Beowulf simply kills all his problems. So the movie actually makes him more interesting, in my opinion.

I think because the more detailed CGI is the more expensive it is, and Angelina only had 2 or 3 minutes of face time, Robin had... a lot more.

dude, that movie was freaking epic. I'm really happy that I watched it on tv and the channel blocked the nudity (cuz, seeing Beowulf's d*ck would've been........creepy) anyway,it was a great movie.
