i noticed something with the framerate, xbox version jumps, aka it runs like a dream at one point then lags like crazy then is fine again. ps3 version stays at about the same rate, but doesnt run as smoothly as the xbox one can. personally i think that the ps3 version's better.

PS3 sadly doesn't have a extra character. 360 and PS3 both can get the DLC character, Metal Sonic, but Wii can't. You probably might want to go with the 360 version overall just based on all that alone. ><

Online was ok a year ago now it sucks. Even less people playing online. Recently I got kicked from a group after barely managing to beat the host who was using Shadow and I was using my avatar. For 7 laps he was far ahead then I manage to pass him near the end on one of those seaside hill levels (the underwater tube one). Bet he was spamming that boost, had to play perfectly and hope I got a missile.

I'd go for the sony if I were linking it with a psp (or similar) sony handheld. Love doing so. Or if I were to get an XBox360s, I'd go for the 4gb rather than the hard drive one. Then install an 80GB or 120GB (at least) OCZ 2.5inch 6Gbps SSD or hybrid. Here's how to do it with a normall HDD using exactky the same method.

I hold the belief that this is not even a kart racing game. After spending some time with it, I find it to be more in the vein of Hydro Thunder arcade and other such racers. Sure it has items, but the courses themselves are like roller coasters and are the main attraction and spectacle. I don't think its fair at all to compare them. The racing is much faster and there's a whole lot more detail around every corner.
