also what coulda happened is this, he was filling the balloon to see what it looked like and its tethers came loose, as its going up he jumps and tries to grab it but couldnt jump high enough, and was pissed that it floated off , and thats why he was yelling

All I can say is Mr Heene is a horrible actor..especially in this video.. He looked like a nut case kickin at the ground, like that was gonna bring the balloon back down. When I first saw this on tv I knew right off he was acting. No wonder he never made it out of acting school.

How about over $2 MILLION tax dollars were spent with the National Guard, helicopters, local police authorities trying to save the life of a kid who's father (and mother) were faking to gain publicity for a reality TV show deal with the TLC network and had no regard for their own kids in the process.

I think all the people who truely have lost a child should take turns kicking Richard Heene and his wife asses. The time and resources that this family caused law enforcement to waste is criminal. Many children and adults who go missing do not recieve the press or help this family recieved looking for a child who was safe at home the entire time. If someone in the same area, at the same time truly went missing or was abducted , people would have been too busy looking for this kid.

It looks like Richard Heene is his normal jerk self. I think this looked sincere and they really weren't ready for this to go up yet. I think he intended at some point to launch a fake UFO and prank the media, but I don't think he was ready for it, which was why his first instinct was to call TV instead of the police. Based on the kids comment about hiding for the show and the general unruliness of the children as seen in Wife Swap. My guess is, the kids brothers put the littlest one up to it.
