@grettagrids $1000, upwards of doubling this for a breeding specimen. A certified breeder gave you this animal? Do you have TICA/CFA paperwork which documents it's pedigree? If so, I am assuming that you are friends or something of the breeder and it was a fortunate find. If the pedigree of the parents was not established, then the kittens would not be blues.

My brother in law got a Russian Blue from an adoption organization at Petsmart. The people adopting out the cats didn't know what they were giving out.
We saw a picture of a cat like him from a food commercial and inquired about the breed in the commercial. When we told the organization about what they had given away they said the cat wasn't a Russian Blue.. We felt like they would have asked for more money if they knew what they were adopting out. We saw lots of purebreds in the shelters.

My grandma had a RB in a village.Somebody just gave it to her. She was an outdoor cat. Her name was Matilda, She was an incredible hunter.Very independent. So I think their behavior mostly depends on a environment.

Nope, not when they're kittens. I own one, Graystripe. He has had green eyes for his entire life. He is purebred, I know for a fact.
I'm so sorry some aren't purebred, but they ARE part Russian Blue, so they should be good,kind,and playful.

my cat zelda was a blue russian she was part of our familly she was the only cat out of a litter of 12 that lived past 2 yrs old she was 23 when she passed only good thing my mom gave me when i was born she finially gave up the fight after battling cancer for 10 yrs of her life we all love and miss you zelda you will be missed even though you are gone from us i can still feel and see you in the things i do i know your always there with me no matter where i go

I have Russian blue and his name is Izzy. He is very aggressive. He also has health problems(growing crystals in its pee) and can only eat special food ordered by the vet...But I love him!

hhmmmmm i'm getting a kitten that has smokey-color fur and blue eyes. i thought she was a russain blue but now i'm haveing my doubts. anyone by chance know wut breed of cat she is? shes only three-weeks old. i get her on wens. and i'm posten a video about her.

My poor russian died a couple weeks ago. Those cats have such a wonderful personality to them. Now I have to see if I can get another one.

I have a Russian Blue named Zelda. They certainly do have a personality distinct from other cats. And they are quite beautiful!
