I agree! There are so many good versions of this song, it's just a really great piece of music. I also prefer the KT Tunstall solo version, Live at the Hootenanny. It's a very strong perfromance, I love musicians who play well live so that one is a real winner. I think KT is at her best solo personally.

It's the arrangement that's awful; her stripped down version is brilliant. This showbizzy, lounge-act arrangement crap with Jools (who looks more and more like a shrunken Ed Sullivan every day) verges on being non-musical. She's better (and the emotions more real) with her guitar and the loop pedal. Not that bad taste isn't the standard.

Completely disagree. A lot of singer/songwriters are strong vocally and just strum along to support their voice. While not a lead guitarist, KT is a seriously good guitarist in her own right. She uses unconventional chords and strumming patterns, has written many songs involving tricky finger-picking and then there's the whole loop pedal thing, which I think most would agree is fcking tough to pull off live. Watch a few of her solo performances and see if you still think she lacks power/skills.
